To Rome in a Starlet
Europe may still be a no fly zone, courtesy of that infamous Icelandic volcano, but that hasn’t stopped a couple of petrol-heads from Octane.ie, who have decided to travel across Europe by land and sea to make it to a church in Rome on Friday for their Best Friends’ Wedding. And doing all that in a 1996 Toyota Starlet no less!
With an itinerary that wouldn’t look out of place in a Gumball run, they hope to make it to Italy by Friday in time for the wedding.
The Route is:-
- Dublin – Rosslare 2hours
- Rosslare – Holyhead 3 hours
- Holyhead – Dover 7 hours
- Dover – Boulogne 1 3/4 hours
- Boulogne – Rome 17 1/2 hours
