Hen Parties: Our Top 10 Activities

Your hen party is a fun filled night away (or weekend if you are so lucky!) with your nearest and dearest ladies! There are just two rules which should be followed, forget all things wedding planning and have fun! Deciding what to do & where to go is the trickiest part, I would suggest choosing something you don’t have the opportunity to do very often. It is your choice whether you plan the event yourself or leave it to your bridesmaids, just be prepared for any surprises they may have in store for you!

10. Salsa Dancing

Whether you have two left feet or are a diva on the dance floor, this is an activity everyone will enjoy! A salsa class will get you and your guests energy geared up for the night ahead, and ye can show off the routine for everyone to see!

9. Cocktail Making Class

Enjoy some cosmos, mojitos or whatever your choice may be with the satisfaction that you have whipped them up yourself! Beware of that double shot your bride of honour tries to slip into every mixture though, the night is still young!

8. Cruise

Enjoy a Moon River Cruise on the Shannon at dusk. Set sail and enjoy the beautiful scenery, followed by dinner afterwards in Carrick-on-Shannon. Finish the night off with some bubbly as you dance the night away!

7. Paintball

Whoever thought paintballing was just for the boys, the were wrong. Split into teams and let out that competitive streak. Have a prize for the winning team, and perhaps a forfeit for the losers. Heehee…

6. Nudist Painting

Not for the faint hearted! You may need to warn Granny Pat of the planned activity if she is coming along for this one! Organise a nudist painting class and release your inner Picasso.

5. Roller Disco

Whip out the roller skates and get some 80s and 90s tunes on beforehand to get you and your guests in the mood. Neon, lycra and leg warmers are dress code musts for this hen party activity!

4. City Break – West End

Jet off to London with your fav ladies. With flights to London being more affordable than ever you have no excuse! The West End is a must see, snap up some tickets to see a fun musical such as Wicked!

3. Spa Break

What better an excuse to take off to the Spa! Think facials, pedicures and all things pampering. Create a sleepover like theme, matching pyjamas and midnight snacks in the hotel rooms, you’ll wish you were 15 again!

2. Glamping

This glam style camping really is a must do! Explore the outdoors and take in some breathtaking scenery. Check out Boutique Camping where you can choose from yurts, tree houses and huts to enjoy your nights sleep in! Don’t forget the supplies for toasted marshmallows.

1. Vintage Tea Party

The newest and most fashionable trend in hen parties. You are your guests can go back in time by having a vintage make over, while sipping cocktails from vintage teacups and scoffing the odd cupcake. Capture all this in a fun filled photo shoot. Rock & Roll Tea Party Co. offer a range of options and will customise your hen to your every wish. What more could you want!
