Be inspired by enchanting woodland, beautifully decorated with shabby chic vintage touches. The charming Station House Hotel is fast becoming one of my favourite wedding venues in Ireland. Totally out-of-the-ordinary and full of hidden secrets, I promise you will fall in love after seeing this fabulous old school style photo shoot – I know I certainly did.
Nestled in the Boyne Valley, Co Meath, this country house hotel packs a whole lot of surprises and quirky features. Steeped in history, the lovingly restored station house boasts its original signal box – the only one of its kind in Ireland. And to add to the magic, it is converted into a romantic honeymoon suite that would rival any fairytale love story.
The star of the show at Station House Hotel is of course the mystical forest where you can exchange vows under the cascading branches. Amidst lush greens and under a sea of vintage florals and bunting, you can say I Do in an outdoor ceremony on the property’s original turntable before returning to The Carriage Suite for your romantic evening banquet. Let these photos whisk you away to this idyllic setting for your dream wedding day. And if you really want to bask in the beauty of this treasured wedding venue, don’t miss their Wedding Open Day on Sunday October 4th from 2:00 – 6:00pm.
