Hotel Meyrick Galway would like to invite you to attend their exclusive Winter Wonderland Bridal Fashion Show on Thursday November 17th at 7.30pm where Ireland’s Top Model and newly wed Pippa O’ Connor will host and MC a Bridal Fashion show. The event will take place in the Connemara Suite of the Luxury 4 * Hotel. The Ballroom will be transformed into a Winter Wonderland for the event with a white carpet, festive decorations, snow, goodie bags and much more!

Multiple Award winning Bridal designer Kathy de Stafford will headline this one off event. With boutiques in Dublin City Centre, Howth and Nenagh in Tipperary, Kathy has a dress and style to suite every Bride. View a selection of amazing dresses from other high end Bridal boutiques also featuring in the show, with an emphasis on next year’s Autumn/Winter trends.

Pippa, the star of her own up and coming reality T.V wedding show will be available on the night to answer questions and to give tips on how best to prepare for the big day!

Guests will be greeted with a drinks reception including hot chocolate and mulled wine to kick of the festivities! A raffle will be held throughout the night and all proceeds will go to Enable Ireland.

Entry is complimentary but RSVP is essential as places are limited for this much anticipated bridal extravaganza.

The Four Seasons Wedding Fairs

Bridal Fashion Event: Hotel Meyrick, Galway

One of my favourite Galway wedding hotels, Hotel Meyrick will be hosting a bridal fashion event on 8th October with Myrtle Ivory Bridal Couture. Stephanie Allin, who designed Amy Hubermann’s dress, will be previewing her 2011 collection (her only Irish show) and Ines de Santos will also showcase a stunning selection of dresses along with beautiful accessories from Myrtle Ivory Couture and makeup/hair demonstrations.

It will be an evening event, held is the Connemara Suite with antique chandeliers adding that aura of magic and romance. Tickets are €10 and include a wine and canapés reception, fashion show and demonstrations. All proceeds will go to COPE – Women’s Refuge Centre Galway. Tickets are only €10 – email fashion@hotelmeyrick.ie to snag some today!

Get the Xposé Treatment

If you are a regular viewer of Xposé on TV3, then you will have heard them talking about their show Xposé Live hitting Dublin this week and Cork next month. I will be checking out the Dublin one this weekend on your behalf ladies, and will post pics and hopefully some video next week after the event.

This year, they have added a special Wedding Pavillion to the show, so I will be having a right nosey around that to see what is hot in wedding fashion and accessories for you guys! Aside from all that, there will be a pamper zone, daily fashion shows and a health and fitness section.

Wedding Make Up is something that every bride needs to think seriously about, as it will differ from your day-to-day make up and the best thing to do is to talk to an expert so at Xposé Live you will have the chance to do just that as well as have a personal consultation with designers – this is a great chance to talk about your body shape and what dress would suit you without committing to going into a bridal shop. A non intimidating way to get the info you need right from the very start!

Entry to Xposé Live costs €20 and tickets can be bought online or at the door. It starts this Friday at 3pm in the RDS and runs till Sunday 6pm. Plenty of time to get around and see everything! Stacey Soloman from X Factor Fame will be performing on Friday and Sunday, so if you are a fan best to go on either of those days! who knows, you might even get to rub shoulders with her!

I posted a couple of weeks back about the Oxfam Bridal Show being hosted in Fallon & Byrne and as a treat I thought it would be fun to get dressed up and take our very own Bride-To-Be Liz out to check out some of the vintage and second hand dresses available out there.

In this Episode of our Bride-to-be vBlog, Ciara and Liz head out on to attend the Oxfambridal Extravaganza Fashion Show in Fallon & Byrne in Dublin.

We had a great night and were spoilt with free wine and goody-bags! Watch the vid we made which captured the experience….
