This week Liz shares her utterly romantic proposal story with us!
This week Liz shares her utterly romantic proposal story with us!
Just coz its Friday, another YouTube beauty for you all! Marquee weddings, beware….no pole dancing!!
You’ve gotta love YouTube, it just throws up all sorts of weird and wonderful stuff everyday! Today, one of my twitter buddies tweeted about this unusual Save The Date - they filmed a youtube video spoofing action movies!
A hot trend for 2010 is for more and more couples to be using some form of video in their wedding - a music video style montage with photos of the couple growing up, and their relationship is becoming quite popular. Maybe this Save The Date video concept will take off in Ireland too, who knows?!
This week we meet the Bride-to-Be herself, Liz Killeen and hear about how herself and her fianceé Steve met!
DrumRoll Please!! I am SO EXCITED to kick off our new VBlog Series where we will be charting the planning progress of the WeddingDates.ie Bride, Liz Killeen as she goes through her engagement.
Another one of those only-in-America YouTube vids…at the end of his wedding ceremony, right when the celebrant said, ” I now pronounce you husband and wife”, Dana Hanna whipped out his mobile device and not only changed his relationship status to married on Facebook, but also sent out a tweet announcing that the couple had become man and wife! Afterwards, the celebrant said, “Its official on Facebook, it’s official in my book - Dana, you may kiss the bride” Weddings 2.0 anybody?!
While not strictly weddingy, I am in lurve with this song at the moment and think the video is too fab not to share! This is the wonderful Julie Feeney who a few of you may have seen on the Late Late Show a couple of weeks ago ( yes, sometimes I *do* stay in on a Friday night!)
Watch, Listen and I challenge you not to smile while thinking of the one you love !
As you may know, I have a fetish for hats (!) ..This woman is my Hat Hero. :)
Dodgy pun title aside, the Knightsbrook Hotel & Golf Resort situated in the picturesque town of Trim, Co.Meath, is a designated heritage town, dominated by Ireland’s finest and largest Norman Castle, King John’s Castle and is a stunning spot for Wedding Photographs.
Check out our video walkthrough of this great 4 Star Wedding Venue in Meath:
Like what you see? Then check availability of the Knightsbrook Hotel - Wedding Venue Meath for your big day!
Bless me Blogging-Gods, for I have sinned - its been a few days since I have written a post here, and its just coz I have been busy, out on the road visiting hotels and getting more venues signed up to WeddingDates.ie!
Anyway, after speaking to some brides-to-be recently, I found out that many of them want help/suggestions for wedding hairstyles.
Now, I’m not a hairdresser but I think the number 1 thing is to choose a style that suits the shape of your face and maybe don’t do anything too dramatically different from your normal look - ie. don’t dye your hair the day before the wedding or chop off all your locks!! Most hairdressers suggest that you get a hair trial done in advance of the big day but some people who are getting married away from where they live, might not have that luxury and might just meet the hair dresser on the morning of the wedding. So try a few out yourself at home, or with friends and bring pictures with you to the salon to give them a good idea of what is in your head.
There are loads of video tutorials on YouTube to get some good ideas… Here’s the classic bridal up-do.
You all know that I love the quirky, unusual and FUN stuff over on this blog, and when it comes to a wedding car, I don’t think it gets more quirky than THIS!! The guys at www.vintagebridalcars.ie do a lovely range of vintage wedding cars, but they also have the uber-cool General Lee (from the Dukes of Hazzard!) on their books! For €800.00 you can arrive to your wedding á la Luke and Bo Duke in the shiny orange Dodge 69 Charger.
Just hope that your drive to the wedding venue doesn’t end up something like this:
