Wedding Worthy Gowns at The 2014 Emmy Awards

Do we really need an excuse to write about pretty dresses? The answer is, not at all! Last night, this year’s Emmy Awards finished up and as always, there were some amazing wedding worthy gowns to be found as well as inspiration to take away from the night. We were surprised at how many light whites and creams cropped up on the red carpet this year as we are usually used to seeing so many dark shades during the winter season Oscars. However, we are not complaining! Here are our top wedding worthy gowns.

Kristen Wiig

A firm favourite from the night, Wiig just seemed to beam in this Vera Wang (a another favourite choice in the wedding world). Her custom white gown is minimal but not at all boring as she paired it with a tousled bleached bob and a smoky eye. This is the perfect beach wedding look for sure!

Taylor Schilling

Taylor’s Zuhair Murad dress looks like it was sculpted for her figure alone. The heavy sequined material drapes from her body perfectly and the way it falls at the end is just heaven! Props to you Taylor, this art deco chic look is by far our favourite.

Robin Wright

Striking in Ralph Lauren, this is a lady who knows her style and can pull anything off. The white backless suit would probably fall flat on others, but teamed with Robin’s short cut and classic good looks – Robin proves strong and feminine go hand-in-hand.

Our Least Favourite Wedding Worthy Gown….

Katherine Heigl, we’re sorry. We loved you in Grey’s Anatomy but this is not your look. We’re guessing this is meant to create a vintage vibe, but the satin cream dress literally looks like it was found in her grandmother’s attic. Vintage is chic, but this dress is just off.
