Take a break from your wedding plans and start planning what comes after!

There are soooo many different types of honeymoons… as if you didn’t have enough decisions to be making!  What type of honeymoon you and your soon-to-be would like to head off on is another thing to add to your list. Before you make your decision, take a look at some of the different types of honeymoons to see what will be the best way to celebrate your newly married status.

City

City honeymoons are full of endless possibilities. Indulge in fine foods, museums, historical sights, and late night attractions in cities like Paris, New York or London. A city honeymoon is perfect for a couple looking to be on the go and enjoy everything a new destination has to offer. Before you book your romantic city getaway, be wary that city destinations can be a bit pricey and busy.

Adventure

Looking for a thrill? If you and your love enjoy an adrenaline rush, think about heading off somewhere that offers plenty of options for outdoor activities. Trek through a remote desert, go ziplining through the jungle, or deep sea diving! Keep in mind that you might want to balance your adventuring with some romance and relaxation as you settle into married life.

Beach

A classic honeymoon choice, and why not?! A relaxing beach vacation is a perfect way to let loose after all the stress of planning your wedding day. Sit by the crashing waves of the ocean with a cocktail in your hand and soak up the sun with your new spouse. Be sure to do some research on your destination before you book. These type of locations or resorts can have peak times where they are extremely busy, or the weather might be better certain times of the year.

Themepark

Looking for a bit of childhood nostalgia? A theme park escape will offer plenty of joy and humour for a newlywed couple. Head off to Disneyland Paris, or make the trip to Florida to enjoy all that Disneyworld has to offer. Don’t forget to research peak times and where you’ll be staying while your there. A lot of theme parks resorts offer packages for multiple day visits.

Roadtrip

Let the adventure continue with a road trip honeymoon. Grab a map and pack some snack! Plan a trip along the Wild Atlantic Way, hop on a ferry to cruise around Europe, or fly cheap to the States and rent a car! Be sure to schedule some downtime, driving long days can be tiring!

Cruise

A cruise is a great option for those that want to enjoy a little bit of everything on the list! Enjoy fine foods, relax by the pool, indulge in spa treatments, and head off the explode the sights of new location during the day! Be sure to research what cruise liner your setting sail on, weather conditions, and prices.
