Clyde Court Hotel, Dublin

Dear Mr McCann, I have been meaning to write this letter for some time now - nearly a year to be exact - and I wanted to tell you how absolutely delighted we are that we chose your hotel for hosting our wedding reception on the 20th May, 2011. I must be honest and say that originally we had not considered your hotel as a possible venue for our wedding and it was by chance that I attended a wedding fair there in May 2010, just one week after I had become engaged. I immediately fell in love with the beautiful Grosvenor suite and all its finery. I was so taken aback by the elegance of your hotel that I returned the second day of the wedding fair and ended up sitting down and having a chat with Mr Cathal McGlinchey, Sales Manager. Cathal has a fantastic personality, which I really warmed to, and I found him to be so approachable. He was so helpful and eager to help us with any queries and sort out any issues we raised that I had my deposit paid by the end of our meeting. From there on in, Cathal took care of all our guests' overnight bookings which meant we didn't have this additional pressure, for which we are very grateful. Ms Leanne Regan, Events Manager, took over our wedding booking later in the year after her predecessor, Genieve, left and from that time on Leanne was "on the ball" and set about all the associated tasks with meticulous attention to detail and exceptional efficiency. Leanne was nothing but professional, dependable, organised, polite and extremely helpful, in fact I'd have to say she has the patience of a saint as I can be quiet specific in my wants and Leanne came through with flying colours, and always very cheerful. Both Cathal and Leanne made the transition from the original booking to the big day so easy for us both, and without them we could not have achieved our wonderful day, which not only we had the pleasure of experiencing, but also our wedding guests. To date Leanne is still organising our first anniversary stay, she has also organised an evening with family and friends to view our wedding DVD at the cinema. Leanne is truly the most reliable person I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, this in turn instils nothing but confidence in the knowledge of the service we will receive at your hotel. Mr Dushan Klika, Food & Beverage Assistant Manager, was the main man for us on our day and remained a constant for us throughout our entire stay in your hotel. Dushan was to hand and so helpful and kind, a delightful person to deal with and he anticipated our every whim. I first met him the eve of the wedding and he listened to everything I wanted from the decoration on the tables to the setting up of the cake stand. When we arrived to the hotel the following day we visited the room before the guests sat down and it was absolutely exquisite. He really listened to what we wanted and brought it together and he did a far better job than I ever expected could be done. He was so creative and everything was perfect. He and his staff presented us with a truly memorable and beautiful event that surpassed all expectations and left us with our wonderful memories. I would also like to take this opportunity to state that Dushan was aware of my food allergy and was completely thorough with every morsel of food put in front of me and advised me, at every meal in Berkeley restaurant, of all my food choices. In fact all of your staff from the reception to the bar staff, to waiting staff, to behind the scenes staff and the entire management team for the reception were absolutely fantastic and catered for our every need no matter how small. Our only regret is not knowing/remembering all of their names so we could mention each one personally. Not only were we, but all of our guests, overwhelmed by the treatment received from your staff, and still to this day the wedding is talked about and the great experience we all had and that is thanks not only to the hotel itself contributing to the wow factor, but also the great team of people working within its walls." These 'people made our day effortless and stress-free, everything flowed so naturally, it was pure perfection. The food was of superb quality and it was beautifully presented and the service was impeccable, not only at the wedding reception, but at breakfast and also when we dined in the restaurant the following evening. The bar staff were efficient and there was never a wait for a beverage. Our hotel suite was beautiful, and both our parents were truly delighted with their suites also. I could go on, page after pager after page, but no matter, we could never thank your hotel staff enough for making our day so perfect, and we would be eternally grateful if you could convey our sentiments to the all the exceptional people at your hotel. We have no hesitation in recommending your hotel to people; we only wish we could keep on getting married so we could keep on reliving our magical day.
