Dublin Zoo, Dublin

First and foremost, a HUGE thank you from both of us to you Aoife and the staff at Dublin Zoo for making sure we had our dream wedding. It was a whirlwind week for us leading up to the wedding and it was such a relief to get to Dublin Zoo to find everything looking perfect and running so smoothly. Aoife and the rest of the team had thought of everything and we really felt like movie stars for the day. We had many comments from people that ours was the "best wedding they'd ever been to", that it was "a magical wedding in unique surroundings". Others were delighted to be able to contribute in some small way to raising awareness of animal welfare. Since our wedding we have been inundated with texts and emails from people complimenting us on our fabulous choice of venue and the most amazing photographs. These comments are obviously a great testament to you and the staff at Dublin Zoo. Getting married in Dubln Zoo is a truly magical experience.

We absolutely loved having our wedding at the Dublin Zoo! The room is cozy and cute, ideal for small and intimate ceremonies. Our guests felt very welcomed and had the chance to have a nice stroll in the zoo for the day. Aoife Keegan was impecable in coordinating our event and all went nice and smoothly. We strongly recommend Dublin Zoo if you want a different and relaxed atmosphere for your wedding!

We held our wedding at the Zoo on 15th August 2012, and had a fantastic day! From the first phone call I made to them back in April, our contact Aoife, couldn't have been more helpful. She helped walk us through how the ceremony would work, and what options we could have. Her professionalism and charm shone through, and it was a pleasure to deal with her. Come the big day, we had already scoped out where we wanted our photos to be taken, as we had arranged to meet our photographer a number of weeks beforehand in the zoo, so we all knew what was what, and it meant no stress or fuss on the day. We were also able to drop in the things for the ceremony- booklets, CD player etc, the day before, which meant all we had to remember was ourselves for the day! The room was fab - the red carpet was a really nice touch. Aoife was on hand all day to help both before and after the ceremony, as they only have 1 event per day, so you really felt like the centre of attention. Unfortunately, it was lashing rain, but it cleared up enough for us to take our pictures. We got a lot of "congratulations" from bemused people visiting the zoo, but everyone genuinely had a smile on their face looking at us. Over all, I couldn't recommend Dublin Zoo enough as a wedding venue - it is really something different, and is definitely a wedding to remember!

If you are looking for somewhere alternative to the traditional wedding venue, then Haughton House in Dublin Zoo is the ideal place for saying "I do!". I cannot recommend it highly enough! We had a civil ceremony upstairs in Haughton House which has a beautiful set of stained glass windows depicting some of the animals at the zoo. Afterwards, we had our photos taken on the balcony with the perfect back drop. We also had an opportunity to get photos taken with the penguins in their enclosure and give them their lunch!! The ceremony was made perfect by having everything organised so well by our event co-ordinator. We were very impressed with everyone at Dublin Zoo, it is truly a perfect place to celebrate the occasion! Gordon and Sarah

We absolutely loved having our wedding at the zoo. The people were awesome, I didn't have to worry about the small details, it was all taken care of! And everyone was so friendly. Not only that, but the pictures were absolutely amazing. We had some taken in Phoenix park right across the street and then all over the zoo. Add in the fact that we got to feed giraffes and penguins on the day, and I couldn't have asked for more. If I had it to do all over again, there isn't any where else I would have my wedding.
