We held our wedding ceremony and separate wedding blessing on Tuesday 30th July at Haughton House, Dublin Zoo. After looking at a number of venues around Dublin we settled on Dublin Zoo as the venue itself was the perfect size for our number of guests (75). the location in central Dublin ideal for guests travelling from both within Ireland and abroad, the room in which the ceremony takes place being spectacular, the price of the event very reasonable and the fact that Derval has so many happy childhood memories of visits to the Zoo. From the very beginning the level of support offered by Aiofe and Karen was exceptional - they were able to accommodate all of our requests and ... Read more

First and foremost, a HUGE thank you from both of us to you Aoife and the staff at Dublin Zoo for making sure we had our dream wedding. It was a whirlwind week for us leading up to the wedding and it was such a relief to get to Dublin Zoo to find everything looking perfect and running so smoothly. Aoife and the rest of the team had thought of everything and we really felt like movie stars for the day. We had many comments from people that ours was the "best wedding they'd ever been to", that it was "a magical wedding in unique surroundings". Others were delighted to be able to contribute in some small way to raising ... Read more

We absolutely loved having our wedding at the Dublin Zoo! The room is cozy and cute, ideal for small and intimate ceremonies. Our guests felt very welcomed and had the chance to have a nice stroll in the zoo for the day. Aoife Keegan was impecable in coordinating our event and all went nice and smoothly. We strongly recommend Dublin Zoo if you want a different and relaxed atmosphere for your wedding!

We held our wedding at the Zoo on 15th August 2012, and had a fantastic day! From the first phone call I made to them back in April, our contact Aoife, couldn't have been more helpful. She helped walk us through how the ceremony would work, and what options we could have. Her professionalism and charm shone through, and it was a pleasure to deal with her. Come the big day, we had already scoped out where we wanted our photos to be taken, as we had arranged to meet our photographer a number of weeks beforehand in the zoo, so we all knew what was what, and it meant no stress or fuss on the day. We were also ... Read more

If you are looking for somewhere alternative to the traditional wedding venue, then Haughton House in Dublin Zoo is the ideal place for saying "I do!". I cannot recommend it highly enough! We had a civil ceremony upstairs in Haughton House which has a beautiful set of stained glass windows depicting some of the animals at the zoo. Afterwards, we had our photos taken on the balcony with the perfect back drop. We also had an opportunity to get photos taken with the penguins in their enclosure and give them their lunch!! The ceremony was made perfect by having everything organised so well by our event co-ordinator. We were very impressed with everyone at Dublin Zoo, it is truly a ... Read more

We absolutely loved having our wedding at the zoo. The people were awesome, I didn't have to worry about the small details, it was all taken care of! And everyone was so friendly. Not only that, but the pictures were absolutely amazing. We had some taken in Phoenix park right across the street and then all over the zoo. Add in the fact that we got to feed giraffes and penguins on the day, and I couldn't have asked for more. If I had it to do all over again, there isn't any where else I would have my wedding. Thank you all so much!

We had a fabulous wedding in Dublin Zoo in April 2011. It was so easy to organise with the help of the staff, both stress and hassle free. The venue itself (Haughton House) is stunning, and there's an amazing selection of places to take pictures in and around the zoo. When our guests received their invitations, it really put a smile on their faces, which continued when I arrived at Haughton House in a golf cart specially hired for the occasion! All in all, an amazing venue, and the staff really take the stress out of the organisation, which when you're getting married, is a seriously valuable thing!

Our wedding at Dublin Zoo was a magical experience both for us and all of our guests. The veune itself is beautiful inside and out and we got some very pretty photographs in and around it. The staff at the Zoo were very accomodating and there was nothing they couldn't do for us. Every step of the way they were there to help, from arranging multiple visits to the venue to helping choose the animal to get our photographs taken with. Even when we went over on our guest numbers they were very understanding and facilitated us and our extra guests. It was a lovely touch that all of our guests got a free pass around the zoo prior to ... Read more

We had our wedding at Dublin Zoo in May 2012. The venue is truely unique and Haughton House adds a definite touch of style in amoungst all the animals! Haughton House worked out superbly for the ceremony - old styling from the outside with modern interior. The wide wrap-around balcony is perfect for the wine reception... or should I say, it's just the place to leave your guests while you make the wedding album special - We were face to face with the giraffes, stood on the wall of their enclosure beyond the perimeter fence, feeding them dinner! Many thanks to Aoife and everyone else at the Zoo. Tom & Rory

From the moment we found out that you could get married at the Zoo, we knew it was what we wanted. All of our friends thought it was a great idea too. Haughton House is a beautifully restored Victorian building. The historic location, in the Phoenix Park with all those majestic, mature trees, would be stunning at the time of our wedding in May, with the new leaves just out. Dublin Zoo is one of the oldest in the world and has been a special place for thousands of children – including me. It felt right to give something back, to say thank you for the great education I got, and to support the important conservation work of the Zoo. ... Read more

We had our marriage ceremony in Haughton House @ Dublin Zoo on 2nd August 2012. The venue is amazing ! Dublin Zoo, at any time is a special place. However to have it for our wedding day makes it extra special. Our co-ordinator Aoife was fantastic, really friendly and extremely professional. From the day we met we knew we were in very good hands. Aoife looked after all the finer details on the day, meeting and greeting our guests, keeping the Groom Calm .... and getting everyone seated with the minimum of fuss. The room lends itself to having a drinks reception afterwards - which all our guests really enjoyed. Our final surprise was the arrival of a big white ... Read more

My husband and I got married in Dublin Zoo in September 2010 and had a wonderful day. Aoife is a true professional, and had everything running smoothly and the friendly staff couldn't do enough for us. No request was too much. It is a great place for unusual wedding photos, especially, if, like me, you are a bit uncomfortable with a camera, as the animals are a great diversion! Our guests kept remarking how much fun the day was, and how laid back and relaxed it was. Going forward, we will forever have fond associations and a genuine connection with Dublin Zoo. We got married in Dublin Zoo this January 2012 on Don't Tell the Bride on RTE! I picked out the venue as part of the show without the Bride knowing until she arrived! From start to finish the Zoo looked after us so well, a professional service from Aoife put my mind at rest that the day would be one to remember...and it was! The room in Haughton House was a perfect size for us and had a warm cozy feeling. The ceremony was romantic and relaxed which was exactly what I had hoped for. We had a drinks and canapes reception for our guests directly after the Ceremony which gave us a chance to catch up with our guests ... Read more

Your wedding day is a day to remember, and your wedding day at Dublin Zoo is not only a day for you but also all your guests to remember. We got married in Dublin Zoo in August 2010 and our guests are still talking about it to this day, (Feb '12), saying how it stood out from the rest! A private room that was decorated just to our liking, flowers to match in with our colour scheme and a red carpet as I walked down the aisle. The room also has a balcony which offers a unique view of the Zoo grounds. You can have special a guest at your wedding too, we had Brian the Python come to our ... Read more

We had the most amazing wedding ceremony at Dublin zoo in September 2010. Everything went off without a single problem. Our coordinator was super helpful with all the preparations and was there throughout the ceremony to help get people into place and make sure we had nothing to do but say 'I Do'. The venue itself is perfect, we easily fit 70 people in and were told numerous times by our guests how cosy and intimate they thought it was. Many people that came with children even came a bit early and had a little walk around the farm before the ceremony so the kids really enjoyed the day too! And with the beautiful surroundings our photographer (which was recommended ... Read more
