The stunning surroundings of The Village at Lyons make for a truly unique location for a wedding reception.
The Mill is a spectacular double height space with seating capacity for up to 180 guests. The room’s panelled walls are offset by a soft and relaxing palette of neutral shades, while the dramatic 17th century fireplace and soothing sounds of the waterfall add to the uniqueness of the room.
The courtyard features a stunning dovecot – home to four pairs of white doves, adding that extra special fairytale element to a bride and groom's big day.
Shackleton Apartment, a lavishly decorated suite, is available to the bride and groom on their wedding night. With its classically styled rustic interior and remarkable four poster bed, this is the idyllic setting to begin life as a married couple. Along with Shackleton House (a 2 bedroomed cottage), there are also 14 luxuriously appointed suites available for guests wishing to stay overnight.
For the high flyers out there, there are helicopter landing facilities on site, it is also possible to hold civil wedding ceremonies Monday to Friday on the grounds themselves.

Our Wedding Day on 11th September 2009 at The Village at Lyons was one we will never forget. It all started so perfectly with myself and my sister waking to the sound of the resident Love Doves outside our window in the beautiful Shackelton House! Getting ready at the Lyons Village was such a treat... hair & makeup team on hand as well as the great waiting staff serving us breakfast as we were pampered was bliss! After the Church we returned to the Village for a gorgeous champagne reception in the courtyard and for our guests who had never been to the Village they were in complete awe of its charm and beauty. Everything about the day was magical, the reception room is so stunning that very little decoration is needed, a few simple flowers and table settings is all that's needed. I have to say that the staff were excellent; so friendly and efficient and compliments to the Chef on an amazing meal. If you are looking for something a little different I can t recommend The Village at Lyons enough. A truly magical place for the best day of your life!
