Love In Late July: Arnold + Fortune at Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort

This late July wedding day is a breath of fresh air.

Surrounded by family and friends, Arnold and Fortune celebrated their summertime nuptials in style in the heart of Wicklow at the lovely Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort. With some gorgeous outdoor photos, we can certainly see why!

Capturing every heartfelt moment of the day, from the pre-ceremony smiles to some serious dance moves, was photographer Cliff Colreavy of Colreavy C Photography. From start to finish, we fell in love with this group’s giddy smiles and totally relaxed attitude. See more of Arnold and Fortune’s gorgeous day below…

The Beginning

“We used to be really good friends and one thing led to another. Our first actual date was in the Odeon bar in Dublin.”

The Proposal

“Arnold proposed unexpectedly a day before my birthday while relaxing in the house. He got down on one knee and proposed.”

The Attire

“My dress was from Alexanders Bridal Limited bridal shop in Dublin and My hair was done by Anele Moyo and make up by Carol.

His suit…. he wore a French Navy Blue from Love Suits Dun Laoghaire- Rathdown.

Groomsmen suits were from Love Suit Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown and Bridesmaid dresses were from Marian Gale Boutique Donnybrook.”

The Ceremony

“Our ceremony in Newcastle Parish Church Co. Wicklow. It was celebrated by Rev William Bennett.

My favourite part of the wedding day was the ceremony while being surrounded by family and friends who were happy for us.”

The Photographer

“We chose Cliff as our photographer because he was incredible from the beautiful engagement shoot to 180 guest in church and at the hotel. He had a challenge with all the venues and people but he did it with complete chilledness and style. The photos tell a story and bring back every feeling from our wedding day. He was professional, efficient and friendly. We felt that Cliff made the effort to get to know us and ensured that the photos of our wedding reflected our personalities which offered a really nice personal touch. Everything was perfect from the communication, quick turn around and near 600 shots that we will cherish forever. We absolutely love our wedding album. We can’t thank Cliff enough and we highly recommend him.”

The Venue

“We chose our venue because it’s a lovely hotel which provides the most luxurious and elegant wedding settings. Staff were very friendly and food was very nice which makes Druids Glen the perfect wedding venue.

We chose our wedding coordinator, Nessa Kearny, because she made us feel at home when we went to view the wedding venue. She was professional and friendly.”

Bridal Advice

“My piece of advice for other couples preparing for the wedding is: The wedding planning is really stressful, please let wedding coordinator do their job and let people help you also. Don’t forget to enjoy your day, the wedding day goes really fast and trust your suppliers that they will do a good job.”
