Let Me Entertain You!

There have been loads of changes in what kind of wedding entertainment couples have. We have branched out a lot from the classic wedding band and DJ combination. But, if you’re looking for some interesting alternatives to entertain your guests, then keep reading…

Wedding Entertainment

Nice Brass

We found that couples have employed everything from string quartets to harpists even fire breathers to entertain their guests. Maybe you could even have all of the above! Although, it might be a bit of an emotional roller coaster going from a harpist to a fire breather. Another one of our favourite things of 2014 in WeddingDates HQ was brass bands, who had a huge year and we think that 2015 will see them become an even bigger part of wedding celebrations.

Playlist Pleasures

Another HUGE trend in 2014 was the rise of Spotify, which I personally cannot live without. Lots of couples created their own Spotify or iTunes playlists to dance the night away to. Whether you do this to save money or you are just a little bit fussy over the music, then this could be the best option for following your live entertainment.

Cool Cool

All in all, we think that wedding couples have become a little more cool and really brought more of their personalities to the table. We are over the moon about this, it is your big day after all, so choose things that make you happy. If you want a heavy metal band at the reception and some line dancing later in the evening, go for it… and invite us, we would love to experience such a crazy wedding line up!

Have a Tribute Band!

Imagine having your favouite band or group (or the next best thing) playing at your wedding reception! Queen, Elvis Presley, U2, Bruce Springsteen, Robbie Williams or even Michale Buble… the list is endless! There are some fantastic tribute acts out there but just make sure you go to see them before you book!
