Tattoos on Your Wedding Day: Display or Cover Up?

I came across the image above this morning and it got me thinking…should you as a bride (or groom) cover up your tattoos on your wedding day? Or display them proudly?

Tattoos and the public’s view on them are very complex things. Some people adore them, some people like them and some people literally hate the look of them! I don’t have a huge opinion on tattoos. While I wouldn’t be overly keen on a look involving a lot of tattoos, I do have a small floral one on my foot. I wouldn’t change it for the world! But I do like the fact that it is only visible when I choose for it to be.

If you have a tattoo on your arms, neck or  upper back (perhaps lower back also) chances are it is going to be visible on your wedding day. Should your tattoo be a part of your overall wedding look, or would you get it covered for this special day? This decision really is in the hands of the bride herself, no matter who may like to give you their own opinion. Your tattoo is a display of your personality and individuality and it this is something you feel confident to show off I would say go for it!

Maybe you got said tattoo a number of years ago and though it was exactly what you wanted at the time, yet you are not so sure now… There are various types of camoflauge foundations and concealers that will help cover the tattoo. If you are using a professional make-up artist I would suggest you ask her advice. She may have a certain product she has used before, I am sure you are not her first tattoo wearing bride!
