Wedding Hair: Curls or Straight

There are many wedding hairstyles for you to choose from whether you have short, mid length or straight hair. Too many to choose from perhaps! If you have decided to wear your hair down you have eliminated some of the choices. Now to decide, curly or straight?

Before you choose, you should decide whether or not you are going to wear a veil or headpiece. Certain veils may look best with straight hair as the veil itself adds enough volume to the look. You also need to consider what is more ‘you’. You want to look like yourself on your wedding day, yet more beautiful than ever. Your wedding photographs are going to be cherished for the rest of your life. If you decide you don’t want to wear a veil there are stunning bridal headpieces available from various wedding suppliers. Wearing your hair down does not mean it will look plain or boring, adding a bridal headpiece will add glamour whichever one you choose.

You also might want to consider the style of your wedding dress upon choosing a hairstyle. If you are wearing a one shouldered gown a half up half down style, whether it be straight or curly, will balance this asymmetrical look. If you are wearing a casual or boho style wedding dress I would go with curls as they will compliment the look. A floral headpiece or headband will also look great with this style. If you decide against any hair accessories why not add a braid to your hairstyle, they look great on both straight and curly hair!

Whatever hair style you decide to wear on your wedding day, I would strongly suggest you do a trial with your hairdresser beforehand. You can play around and see different styles, maybe even try your wedding dress on with them. This will give piece of mind ensuring you are going to be happy with the outcome the morning of your wedding!
