Weddings are back on as gatherings of up to 100 people allowed From July 20

Sources told Independent.ie gatherings of one hundred people are permitted to attend weddings, funerals and outdoor events from July 20.

The roadmap for reopening has been majorly rewritten with almost all public venues such hairdressers to be allowed operate again from the end of June.

  • Starting June 29, a group of up to 50 people will be permitted to attend events in enclosed spaces.
  • Churches can resume holding Mass provided numbers are kept below 50 and adopt a strict hygiene policy.
  • Gatherings of up to 200 people will be allowed outdoors but social distancing rules will apply.
  • The final phase will begin on July 20 when indoor gatherings of up to 100 people will be allowed.

Sources told Independent.ie that ministers believe this will help many couples are able to have their wedding celebrations this summer.
