Aoife & Ger onby
Garryvoe was the second hotel we visited when deciding where to have our wedding reception. We had never been to a wedding there previously and knew very little about it. We initially met Stephen and Andrzej and were very, very impressed with the hotel, the bridal suite, the management and the variety of options for us from the menu choices, to the drinks reception, to the main reception room layout. We had our wedding in December and there was a great xmas atmosphere/decor in the hotel. We were in contact with Stepehn, Andrzej and Ben at various different times in the build-up and they were excellent to deal with. We cannot speak highly enough of them. We were pretty clueless at the start and were unsure of what questions we should even be asking. They really held our hands through the pricing & decision making process and their advice was really great and welcoming. They were very accommodating and flexible and we knew as early as our first meeting that no other hotel could compete with Garryvoe in terms of advice, value and service. The same can be said for the full staff across the hotel. It really was the highest level of service you could wish for on your wedding day. Liz was exceptional/personable at the top table and ensured both families were looked after well. It was an amazing experience. We did not have any trouble or concerns from day 1. Everything was dealt with professionally and easily. The tasting evening was a fantastic experience and the quality of food was exceptional. We went with beef and monkfish in the end and it was faultless. Our Guests on the day still discuss the quality of food 6 months later. We and our guests were also very impressed with the rooms at the hotel and the bridal suite is fantastic. Some of the guests have gone back to Garryvoe since and booked in for a night or 2. I really hope you find this review informative and we honestly feel that this review won't do garryvoe justice. They delivered brilliantly for us. Thanks again.
