Believing that the heart of a wedding celebration is the food, Chef Seamus Commons and his team ensure that this tradition is maintained throughout your special day with appealing menus and refined presentation. Seamus is originally from Mayo himself, and so has a particular affinity with the amazing local produce of the region with which himself and his team work their magic, and his menus use only the very best of fine local, seasonal ingredients including produce grown on-site in Knockranny’s own gardens. On the day itself, the venue was nothing short of breathtaking. The room was styled to absolute perfection, exactly as I had envisioned, down to the very last fork. The food was outstanding, even with the added complexity of guests requesting their steaks cooked in various ways. The attention to detail was incredible, with a dedicated staff member by our side into the early hours, always making sure we had everything we needed.
We honestly cannot recommend Knockranny, Claire, and the entire team highly enough. They gave us the wedding of our dreams—hands down the best venue any couple could hope for.

An incredible venue that went above and beyond. Claire was so helpful throughout the entire planning period, especially in the last two weeks when we had a million questions! She was so facilitating, always had great suggestions and ideas and was a pleasure to deal with.

fabulous venue and we couldn’t recommend all the staff enough, they truly made the day feel so seamless for us and took the thought out of everything. Guests have been raving about the food post-wedding, and our pre-wedding tasting was brilliant. We had an extended stay pre- and post-wedding and were treated like royalty throughout. The penthouse was gorgeous, and the views of Croagh Patrick on a clear day make for the most amazing photos! Highly recommend Knockranny for anyone considering it.

The rooms were so spacious and clean, you never had to ask twice for something it was just done and that was it. We honestly had such an amazing experience and cannot praise everyone enough.
Claire was an absolute god send and clearly has many years experience in her role, her efficiency and knowledge is unique and without a doubt she was the deciding factor to us choosing Knockranny as our venue, it was Everything we ever wanted and hoped for for our special day.

the hotel was just beautiful. Claire made the communication throughout the planning so stress-free and easy and in the lead up took so much of the expected wedding stress away. The day itself was amazing. All the staff were brilliant, so friendly and the service was outstanding, the food was gorgeous and so hot (our guests still rave about it!) and the day ran so smoothly, Claire was amazing from start to finish in ensuring our day went amazingly and checked in with us for the rest of our stay there which was so lovely. Would absolutely recommend Knockranny House Hotel and the team for the most beautiful wedding day!
