Believing that the heart of a wedding celebration is the food, Chef Seamus Commons and his team ensure that this tradition is maintained throughout your special day with appealing menus and refined presentation. Seamus is originally from Mayo himself, and so has a particular affinity with the amazing local produce of the region with which himself and his team work their magic, and his menus use only the very best of fine local, seasonal ingredients including produce grown on-site in Knockranny’s own gardens. Once we arrived at Knockranny House Hotel on our wedding day, we were treated like royalty! We soaked up a relaxed, fun-filled atmosphere in which all our needs were catered for. Nothing was too much to ask!

Our guests were taken aback by the care that all the staff gave them. The compliments on our choice of venue began then and have not stopped since! The food was absolutely delicious, and it was clear from all the cleared plates that everyone else agreed! The stunning scenery of Croagh Patrick provided the perfect backdrop for photos and wowed guests!

We truly had the most perfect day!

Claire kept us up to date with any changes or requests leading up to our big day.

day was attended to, from the order of the speeches to the entrance music for my Wife and me to be introduced to our guests.

We knew Knockranny makes fantastic food, and it didn’t disappoint! The tasting itself gave us such a wide array of dishes to choose from, which only made making our final choices more difficult.

Everything on the day ran on time and without any hiccups, which is exactly what is needed on your wedding day.

The rooms were fantastic, especially the bridal suite!
