Ballinacurra House has been voted Ireland’s Premier Private Estate for Exclusive Hire and hosts intimate, private weddings for up to 150, on a 40 acre estate, just 2 minutes from Kinsale - Ireland’s culinary capital.
Ballinacurra House, Kinsale is an award winning a 5-star "Private Estate for Exclusive Hire". We are not a hotel where you will be sharing the house or grounds with anybody else – it is your own private country estate for the duration of your stay and only ever “Exclusively Yours”.
Accommodation Capacities
We have 14 ensuite bedrooms in the Main House, 4 ensuite bedrooms in our Coach House, and 4 ensuite bedrooms in our Stone Cottage – giving us a total of 22 bedrooms (sleeping 44 people in twin occupancy). If you wish to maximise the usage of the house, you can fit 53 adults (and up to 6 children in bunk beds) on the property in a combination of twin, triple and quadruple rooms (see the website for floor plans). If your numbers are over what we can accommodate, then we are happy to recommend many hotels, guesthouses and B&Bs which are in Kinsale, a mere 2 minute drive away. In all cases however it is up to the couple to maximise the use of the bedrooms as the house is rented for a fixed rate of up to 44 people (if over 44 people, supplements apply).
The Property
In addition to the extensive buildings, as part of your Exclusive Use you also can enjoy the 40+ acres of the property. We have a magnificent south-facing walled garden which features an outdoor entertainment patio, croquet lawn, children's playground, helipads, picnic lawn, stream and pond, and manicured lawns leading down to a large natural forest, river estuary and a small boat jetty (see photos on our website gallery).
Food and Beverages
The House comes with our resident private chef and we can help create a special menu and cater for any dietary requirements of your group. All food and beverage requirements for your stay at Ballinacurra is on request and we agree this in advance. Our prices are based on number of courses but you can budget around €70 per person for a set 4 course dinner including tea/coffee and wedding cake for supper. Our House Wine starts at Euro 22 per bottle, and our specially imported House Cava starts at Euro 35 per bottle.
For bookings from January 2010 to the end of March 2010, our rates for renting the entire property are €5,500 per night (€125 per person per night on a twin/double share for accommodation of up to 44 people)
For bookings April 2010 to December 2010, our house rental rates are the same as 2009 and are €6,600 (€150 per person per night on a twin/double share for accommodation of up to 44 people)
- These prices include full cooked to order breakfast, taxes, VAT and all government charges.
- There are many other benefits included which are outlined on our website and there are no additional hidden room hire charges, etc.
- You are renting the whole property and 44 people B&B for one price.
- For Weddings, you can rent the house for one night if mid-week (Sunday through Thursday nights) and a minimum of 2 nights if you want a weekend wedding (Friday and Saturday nights).
- Off season 1 night weekend weddings are available
- 12.5% service charge applies to all food and beverages (not accommodation).
