We had our wedding at the lodge on the 23rd of March 24, I cannot recommend the place enough, the staff, the food, and everything was just amazing from start to finish.

Danielle and Madeline are truly professionals and are just amazing at what they do thank you all so much.

We got married in the Ballyliffin Lodge and Spa on 16th March 2024. We originally booked the venue in August of 2021 shortly after getting engaged and the hall it was held in has gotten an upgrade since then.

coordinator was fantastic from start to finish and helped us to organize everything for our special day, even when we had to make numerous changes to our menu, etc. We can't thank her enough for all she did for us.

Marcin was an absolute star as well, he kept us informed of room availability throughout, and for any changes we had to make he got them confirmed for us very quickly and effectively.

On the day Madeline kept everything running smoothly and like clockwork, from the call to dinner, the speeches, and everything else she was there to help us.

Overall, after having had our special day at the Ballyliffin Lodge we can't imagine having had it anywhere else. If you're looking for a place for yourselves then look no further.

Could not recommend the Lodge enough, from their communication in the months coming up to the wedding, to the impeccable service on the day. everything ran so smoothly. The wedding team and staff on the floor really know what they are doing, their customer service is 10/10. Cannot fault them at all!

venue. Our friends and family could not get over the space inside it. We used the venues Rolls Royce for our photos and the driver was a gent, it was really a show stopper for our photos. Cannot recommend the venue enough. Our guests loved catching up by the pool the next morning and having such wonderful views from the bar.

The food I don't even know where to begin here.....I had friends calling me months after our wedding asking, did I get that recipe for 'THAT SOUP', for reference we had the tomato soup. Everyone said the food was better than they had experienced at most 5-star hotels.
The hotel itself is at such an amazing location. I fell in love with the Ballyliffin Lodge years previously whilst attending another wedding, in my early 20's and I always said I'd get married there. Gary thankfully after one visit shared my dream and it will always hold a special place in our hearts.

We had the most perfect wedding at Ballyliffin Lodge. Lots of family travelled to attend our wedding. The Irish welcome was amazing. Food and staff were

Danielle is just amazing. She is so thorough in all the pre-planning, is really easy to work with and makes sure every detail is taken care of and no stone unturned, all while being super lovely and having the patience of a saint!

Hailing from the other end of the county, most of our guests had never been to the Lodge before and they were so impressed. We heard nothing but the highest praise from everyone as they raved about the top quality food, the amazing service and the friendliness of the staff.

It was also really competitively priced and without a doubt most the most value for money when we compared to other venues, all while offering top class service.

She went above and beyond for us, then roll on to our big day, we got the use of the stunning white Range Rover that first collected myself and my father and then took myself and my husband to our photo destination then on to the venue where we met Madeline on arrival. To say she was one of a kind is an understatement, from the minute we landed she was waiting for us helping with my dress and explaining exactly what we needed to do and where to go. She was on the ball, not once did we have to wonder what we had to do, with our bridal party she made sure we all knew where we needed to be and what we needed to do. On to dinner, the food was to die for and all piping hot on arrival to the tables. All our guests raved about it and just to add a few points, the top tables mains get served all at one with silver service that I can only call orchestrated to a T with Madeline on the floor. All our guests were treated like they were royals, the bar staff were amazing along with every member of staff, they were all so professional and soo friendly and helpful. On arrival at the hotel, I can safely say we were treated like royalty. The wedding room way exceeded our expectations, it was absolutely gorgeous. The food and service was 10/10. What I really liked was all of the courses for each table arrived at the same time. Over 200 guests were giving us compliments on how mannerly and professional the hotel staff were. When meeting with the wedding team, we had a look around the gate lodge cottage and decided we would get married there. The cottage was stunning …

and guests were amazed at the size of the gate lodge as it is very deceiving. When booking, the wedding staff were amazing, there wasn’t anything we couldn’t email or call about and they were very accommodating when we would call down. They handled everything we wanted and when dropping things down the day before it was straight forward. The room was laid out the we wanted, every added thing was set up beautifully, better than I pictured it to be. Our wedding day ended up being a really warm and sunny day. Guests were able to take full advantage of the stunning garden at the front of the hotel and our singer was able to set up outside with help of hotel staff. The food served was delicious and everyone was served quickly, we love going down to Jack's bar and restaurant since booking the wedding and it’s something we would often do, staff are friendly and most of them remember us and would come chat and be very welcoming. Overall, we had a great wedding experience with the staff of the hotel and had an amazing wedding at Ballyliffin Lodge and Spa. We rearranged our wedding fairly last minute due to a significant family emergency, the Ballyliffin worked with us to help us both, change the date and also helped us make some changes to make sure we were getting the best deal …

On the day of our wedding, we had a family member pass away. The Ballyliffin staff dealt with this with absolute professionalism, both considerate to the family but also very conscious that the wedding should carry on without a hitch.
The wedding coordinators that we worked with were absolutely exemplary, thorough and reassuring. No detail was ignored, (our original coordinator left the hotel during the run up to our wedding, but she had a warm handover, explaining the process going forward and we felt in good hands.)

On the day, the day went off without a hitch and this was all down to Madeline, she kept the show going. She composed the bridal party, nothing was out of the question for myself and my new wife. What we booked,planned and paid for, we got .... What we didn't expect was the level of detail/care and consideration that was put in to every step of the day.
I previously worked in a hotel that specialised in weddings, so I had an idea what to expect, but what we received was really and truly massively above our expectations.

I have since recommended the hotel to anyone that asks, but also, our guests have commented on the hotel, a few of them have since booked weddings with the hotel and I have asked friends if they enjoyed the wedding and they all sing the highest of praise (I realise this is what I would expect any guest to any wedding to say, but my friends and family would be honest with me and I would be a harsh critic)

Believe me, I would not have taken the time to write such a review if there was any single element of my wedding day that was let down by the hotel... They were outstanding!

We chose this beautiful venue (newly decorated dining room) for our wedding reception in April 2022 and Danielle has just been amazing throughout. Due to the fact we live in Glasgow and …

it's tricky to get home often, we only had the privilege of meeting Danielle once prior to the wedding however, we were made to feel at ease straight away with her welcoming smile, professionalism and fountain of knowledge about weddings. We were able to email her from Glasgow to tell her our preferences for our big day and she certainly made our vision become a reality!

At last, 30th June came and it was our Wedding Day! Paddy, the driver went above and beyond for us all to ensure we got to the Chapel and hotel safely. He was great craic and very patient allowing us to stop along the way to take scenic photographs!

On arrival to the venue, we were greeted by Madeleine. This lovely lady made us feel like we were the only bride and groom in the world and was so attentive.

Another shout out has to go to every other staff member who we encountered. They went above and beyond for ourselves and guests and nothing was too much hassle!

Compliments to the chef(s) too! The meal and buffet were absolutely delicious and the portions filled us all up for a night of dancing and craic!

If you're looking at wedding venues, I'd highly recommend the Ballyliffin Lodge and Spa!

On the day of the wedding itself, Madeleine and the team were phenomenal, there was nothing too much for them, they ensured everything ran on time (even though it was like herding cats at times) and nothing happened that wasn't ran past us first. The team were attentive and joined in with the craic with our guests.

The food was amazing and not a single guest had a complaint, it was served promptly and there was plenty of it.

Our guests couldn't praise the hotel enough.

The small touches didn't go unnoticed either - the sandwiches and cake in the room that night, the breakfast in the room the next day and the food laid on the following night for everyone.

Honestly it was the best few days of our lives. We first stayed in the Ballyliffin Lodge and Spa in 2014 and have stayed quite a few times from then, we can't wait to keep coming back.

Then when our wedding day arrived on 17th March 2022, it was perfect from start to finish.
The room had been set up exactly how I envisaged, and it all came together perfectly. The service could not be faulted - not one of our guests was left hungry or thirsty all evening! Even now we have friends and family still recalling how they all received 5-star service from the staff on the day. We still have guests recalling how delicious the meal was as well.
The whole team that we dealt with throughout the initial planning and for the reorganised weddings were all so professional and bent over backwards to make us feel special and to accommodate anything we requested. From the wedding team to the guys on reception and the servers and barmen/women, it is so rare to have such high-quality service across the board, but Ballyliffin Lodge and Spa definitely offer and live up to their award-winning service.
The wedding team also put us in touch with a few local suppliers (room dressing and music) and they did not disappoint! It is clear that the team only recommend suppliers that are in the same league as them.
Overall, we can't thank the team enough for all they did for us in the lead up to our big day and helping to make it one of the best days of our lives that we will never forget.

The Wedding team had everything under control on the big day, and we were blown away by how smoothly it all went, with very little decisions or worry that we had to deal with. Coming out of Covid, we were a little anxious about possibly having many young, inexperienced staff serving the meal, but they couldn't have been more professional and everything really did go off without a hitch. Would highly recommend the Ballyliffin Lodge to any couple looking for a venue that can host a large number of guests in one of the most stunning locations in Ireland, and is overall, just great craic.

going to be our venue as we had heard great reviews and as being local ourselves, there was nowhere better. After a year of covid, we made the sad decision to postpone for a year, Ron was very understanding, helpful and supportive.
In the leading months coming towards our wedding, we dealt with Danielle who was a pleasure and no question was left unanswered, we were in regular contact and it took a lot of pressure off us.
On the day of the wedding, George was punctual and very relaxed with his professional driving skills, we loved the comfort and presentation of the Rolls Royce.
On arrival to the hotel, we were greeted by Madeleine and team. Everything went so smooth and we were overwhelmed with happiness from start to finish. We are still hearing to this day, (November) of how great our wedding was, the food, service and how well everyone was treated. We could not have got any better and we would love to do it all again. We had a tray of sandwiches and cake supplied to our room for the late hours and my suitcase was also delivered which shows how much extra the team went for us. We are looking forward to our next trip back to the Lodge which will forever remain a special place for us.

My family is from Ballyliffin, and when we visit we stay at the Ballyliffin Lodge and Spa hotel. Because of the beautiful setting, amazing food, and brilliant service, when we got engaged we knew that we wanted to get married here.

supplier list, which is really helpful if you do not live in the local area, and all of our suppliers came from this list and we couldn't have had better suppliers. This saved us a huge task in researching and finding people ourselves.

Nothing was ever too much to ask and every query that we had was answered and satisfied on the same day. They made planning a wedding for nearly 200 people so easy and completely stress free.

During the week before the wedding when we arrived in Ballyliffin, we didn't have anything left to organise, as they had sorted everything for us a few weeks before. The Wedding Team had been in touch with all of our suppliers and organised the timelines for us, so we just had to turn up on the day. When we arrived after our ceremony we were greeted by Madalaine and she was fantastic. She gave us a quick run-through of what the plan was, organised everyone and put people where they needed to be (bridal party to get ready for the entrance etc) and was on hand all evening to give us a 5 minute 'heads up' on what would happen next, like cutting the cake for example.

We cannot thank Madalaine enough. Not only had the Wedding Team made everything absolutely perfect and exactly how we envisioned our wedding to be, she made the day so seamless and stress-free. We didn't have to think once about where we needed to be or what we needed to do.

All of the bar staff and waiters were absolutely fantastic and our friends and family are still raving about the food.

We want to do it all again, they really do make all of your dreams come true.

of COVID, we were kept fully up to date. We can’t thank you all enough. On our big day, any anxiety or stress we had were taken from us & the hotel staff took it on and made our day perfect. The waiters and waitresses were incredible, as were the food and decor. The reception staff, cleaners, everyone made ourselves and our families so welcome and did everything in their power to make our day perfect.

The hotel and spa are spotless. We had the most amazing, relaxing weekend, and we can’t thank you all enough. We wish we could thank you all 1000 times over. Every guest who attended our wedding had only positive things to say about the whole day & the weekend itself as we stayed there for two nights.

What you people do to make wedding days special is second to none.
We will be 100% be back to celebrate anniversaries and birthdays. We wouldn’t go anywhere else.

amazing food, the spotless comfy rooms, and fantastic cocktails, but it was mainly due to the service we experienced from all of the hotel staff. And we weren’t the only ones hugely impressed- our friends and family are still talking about the “wedding of the year” and how the staff at the Ballyliffin go above and beyond for every single guest. I know that myself my husband particularly loved Madeline - she is second to none as wedding co-ordinator for the hotel, and any nerves I had were put at rest by her immediately. The woman seemed to be everywhere all at once on our big day - amazing! The only issue with our big day was when our boisterous 20 month old little girl fell as she was running about outside, and she hurt her head. But goodness, did the staff in the hotel react immediately!!- a first aider tended to her within seconds, one of the managers brought his own car to the front of the hotel and took us to the closest medical centre where they awaited our little girls arrival (thanks again to staff at the hotel phoning them in advance), then minutes later, our little girls head was glued (toddlers

Kathryn always answered our questions quickly and made the planning process stress-free. Madeline and the team on the day did a great job and we did not have to worry about a single detail on the day. Everything was taken care of and we truly could enjoy our special day. The food was amazing, although everyone was stuffed, our guests still accepted seconds because they thought the meal was so delicious. Although we had some thirsty guests, the bar staff handled with service with ease. The waiters and waitresses was very attentive and friendly. Well on the 23rd of Feb myself and my new husband had our wedding reception at the Ballyliffin lodge and spa. For anyone considering having their wedding here... stop considering and book this venue.

anything. All our guests said they hadn't been to a wedding like it. From the minute we booked to the day after the wedding nothing was too much trouble. The day of the wedding Kathryn and Niamh catered to our every need.
The food was unbelievable and helped us have the most amazing day. We also took advantage of the rolls Royce and the driver and the car were just fabulous.

Lots of our guests also stayed overnight and had a lovely relaxing swim the next morning.

Our bridal suite was perfect. And in the evening Kathryn and the team sent us up some wedding cake, sandwiches and orange juice for us which went down such a treat.

Breakfast in bed the next morning just set off the whole stay perfectly.

I honestly cannot say how many times our guests said how wonderful the hotel and the staff was and said they will definitely be back.

day we couldn’t have asked for more from Nathan, Ricardo and their team. All our needs were catered for and it was wonderful to be able to place your trust completely in a venue. There was nothing We would have changed about our wedding day.
We were planning our wedding from London yet the team in Ballyliffin made that so much easier with prompt answers to all our queries. We were limited to the number of visits home so the hotel organised for us to arrange as much as possible during these trips.
The hotel provided our wedding car & we had free use of the leisure centre for a year.
On the day of our wedding the venue had been set up exactly as we had imagined- every little touch was exactly what we had planned and communicated with the hotel. Everything was perfect! Madeline co-ordinated her team perfectly to ensure every guest had everything they needed. The food was piping hot, service was efficient with no guest left waiting or wanting more.
And what a perfect touch to arrive back in our room after a wonderful wedding day to find drinks & refreshments left for us with a personal message of congratulations from Nathan, Ricardo & the team.

The moment we arrived at reception to decide if this was the venue to celebrate our special day with our nearest and dearest, we knew it was for us. However we did contain our excitement to say yes until the end of the detailed tour.

On our day we were made to feel unique with extremely experienced staff.

When being asked what I remember from our day, my answer is always the same... The small things. A reassuring smile that everyone is happy, a comforting chat when nervous and wedding cake that we didn't get a chance to try sitting on our pillow.

Many family and friends have already booked to experience the high quality of customer service again already, what more could justify this hotels passion for their customer service.

I cannot recommend the Ballyliffin Lodge enough for a wedding venue.

From the initial meetings, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our day would be perfect.

Everyone said the 13th was unlucky but we had the most amazing day all thanks to the Ballyliffin! We couldn’t have picked a better venue - a day not to be forgotten with extra touches we didn’t even think of!

The view from this hotel is amazing and has a lovely wedding garden for photos or even a civil ceremony. The food is amazing along with the staff. I could not fault this hotel in any way, they made our day magical from start to finish.

What can I say about the ballyliffin. Our wedding day on March 29th this year was truly amazing.

The minute we booked everything was so easy, the wedding planners were so helpful! They were always on hand for any questions! Whoever said planning a wedding was hard had never dealt with the Ballyliffin lodge, they were professional but made you feel like you were the only bride in the world! We live in Belfast so we had to leave things up prior to the day, everything was set up for us, no problems at all! On the day they made us feel so so special! Getting picked up by Paddy in the car, stepping onto the red carpet, champagne in hand, the room looked perfect, the traditional music, suggested by the hotel when our singer let us down created an amazing atmosphere!
The food was fabulous, have been to many wedding since and nothing compares to it! Loved the closhes at the top table! Brilliant touch!
After dancing all night we went to our room and the hotel had left us sandwiches, wedding cake and drinks!! So thoughtful!
Our day was all and more than we ever dreamed off. We have been back every year for our anniversary and they welcome us like friends! They remember us, that sums up the Ballyliffin Lodge, all the weddings that go on and they remember! If I had to do it all again I wouldn’t change a thing!

"Fantastic Hotel in a Stunning Hotel"

stress free. Good correspondence, great staff at the hotel and everything on the day of our wedding was perfect. Even the weather was good!

We had wanted to put up a couple of displays at the hotel to welcome our guests and it wasn't a problem. Mickey at the guys setting up the hotel for our drinks reception had everything exactly how we had asked.

The wedding meal was delicious and also had vegetarian options. All of our guests commented on how good the meal was and the generous portions.

The suppliers that Nathan recommended were first class as well. Mary Lafferty made a beautiful cake, Inish Bow and Style decorated the room beautifully and Heaven Scent provided the bridal bouquet and wedding flowers. Everything was perfect.

I could go on but the best thing to do is, if you are looking for a beautiful hotel with great staff in a stunning location, look no further.
