knowledge to provide us with ease of mind and security on our wedding day. The hotel looked amazing with the new carpets and the revamp of the hotel to the exceptional food and service the staff gave on the day, nothing went unnoticed.

Guests are still talking about the fun they had with the Dj. Scruffy Duffy from the moment they walked into the room to the moment they walked out. The photos and videos speak for themselves. Having our Day Two on the rooftop bar was top-class. It made our day private and secluded from the hotel, we felt like we were abroad. Food again was amazing for day 2 and each guest had comfort in knowing they didn't need to drive anywhere for the weekend and just park up and relax. Some guests made the most of this and chilled and made use of the spa while they were there; as did we and this relaxation was just what we needed. This is everything we hoped for and dreamt of and the Loughrea Hotel has made our dream wedding come true.

We will be forever grateful to you all and no doubt see you all soon along the way as we journey through life.

respond to any query and to give helpful advice. I trusted the team at the Loughrea Hotel & Spa and they made our wedding planning process easy and stress-free.

I enjoyed my wedding day fully from start to finish. I never worried for a second about the decor, food, service providers, timeline… anything! The relationship we had built with Nicole and the amazing service provided by Damien and the entire staff of the hotel allowed me to relax completely. This was the best gift I could have asked for on my wedding day.

We were treated like royalty on the day, and since our wedding, we have heard countless positive comments from our guests about the venue. The food was simply excellent! Special requests were catered to without hesitation, and everything was tasty, fresh, and warm. Especially considering our large number of guests, everyone was so impressed with the food provided from the beautiful hot and cold canapes at the drinks reception, to the exquisite meal, and the delicious late-night bites.

There is lots of space around the ballroom, and many of our guests appreciated the opportunity to use the drinks reception area throughout the night. We had a sweet cart, Tayto wall, wishing well, centerpieces of choice, fabulous large pieces of decor, crisps sandwiches in the resident's bar, and everything we could have wanted to be provided by the venue. I had very little to do and I appreciated this in the days leading up to the wedding.

In terms of value and service, we feel that The Loughrea Hotel & Spa is a true gem! I would recommend any couple to sit down with Nicole and see what they have on offer. Compared to other packages and venues that we researched, we were impressed from the start with how flexible and accommodating this venue could be.

And now, having enjoyed the wonderful experience of being a Loughrea Hotel & Spa wedding couple, I can say that my expectations were far surpassed. We had the perfect day for us, and I am truly grateful to the team at the Loughrea Hotel & Spa for making it so special.

one of the best decisions we made. From the initial contact right through to the very end of our day (and indeed the next morning) everything was wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. Damien and his staff were nothing short of faultless and nothing was too much trouble for them or the hotel's wedding coordinator, Nicole. They made planning our wedding at relatively short notice a breeze.

The day itself went off without a single hitch and I can only attribute it to Damien and Nicole's dedication and attention to detail. Nothing was overlooked. As a bride you expect to be a little stressed on the day (and before!) But the team at the Lough Rea Hotel and Spa took all of that away.

The ceremony room was decorated to perfection, the food was out of this world and the serving staff were incredibly attentive and friendly. The transition from meal to after party was seamless and the evening buffet was perfect. I heard more than one of our guests comment that they'd never been so well fed at a wedding!

The Honeymoon suite was magical, such a beautiful and elegant room. It really was the cherry on top of a fantastic day.

We cannot thank the hotel and staff enough for making our day so stress free and enjoyable for us. If we were to do it all over again we would not hesitate to book the Lough Rea Hotel and Spa again for our wedding and recommend it to every future bride and groom out there.

Do yourself (and your stress levels!) a favour and put your trust in the team at the Loughrea Hotel and Spa, you will be glad that you did.

We were absolutely delighted with the venue, including the layout of the ballroom. We also loved the food, it was the staff and level of service, that makes Lough rea hotel stand out from the crowd.

possibly hoped for and more. Our first visit to the hotel, we were greeted by smiling staff and shown around by Nicole who talked us through all of our options for a civil ceremony and assured us that all of Gerrys needs would be met.

We chose to get ready in the hotel in a beautiful room with stunning views of the lake where they served our breakfast and we got perfect photos. Nicole checked in on us with a bottle of prosecco and came back to escort us to the ceremony. We felt like everything was under control and we could relax and enjoy our day.

The ceremony space was perfect, the team had even made little paper planes to hang from the cherry blossom trees!!!!

I don't know how they flipped the room for our reception so fast but the team must be experts, the service was prompt and the food was delicious and piping hot. A special shoutout to Stephen for organizing extra mashed potatoes and gravy for Gerry and bringing out more tea for our grandparents.

The late night nibbles and Tayto sandwiches in the residents bar and the friendly chatty bar men who didn't rush us to go to bed at all was the perfect ending to our special day.

We are so grateful for all the effort that the team made to make our day a fairytale. We will always remember the hard work, dedication and kindness of all of the staff and managers at the Lough Rea Hotel and Spa

Nicole talked us through every single part of the process and at what stage of the process details needed to be finalised. We were extremely impressed by the choice and variety available within the wedding packages which really allows you to create your own unique wedding day. No matter what query we may have had, we knew Nicole was always only an email away. Mary was so helpful in relation to the booking of accommodation for our guests and was always on hand to help if any changes needed to be made. We always felt so assured and supported throughout the whole planning process and that was down to Nicole and the staff at the Lough Rea Hotel.

On the day of our wedding Nicole, Damien and all the staff were so professional, attentive, helpful and really ensured everyone enjoyed the day. The decor was beautiful, the food was fantastic, the service was excellent and so many guests commented on this and the service they received from such friendly, attentive and caring staff. Everyone was looked after so well and we didn't have to worry about a thing as we knew it was all taken care of. No matter where we turned on the day, Nicole or Damien were on hand to help in any way they could and to ensure we were happy with how the day was going.

We had the most amazing wedding day on 21st July 2023 in the Lough Rea Hotel because of the 5 star service we received from the initial planning stage to after our wedding day. The day itself was amazing. We were presented with a plan of how the day would go and everything went exactly to plan. Timings are very important on the day and they ensured that all suppliers were looked after and everyone was happy.

Most importantly for us our guests had a wonderful day, food was beautiful and the hotel itself is modern, clean and comfortable which is important when you have guests travelling to your wedding.

We celebrated Day 2 at the hotel. The rooftop was the perfect location for a barbecue. Again, the food here was excellent and the staff really looked after our guests. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening.

All in all, having our wedding at the Lough Rea Hotel was a wonderful experience from start to finish. I would encourage any couples getting married in the future to pick this hotel. They definitely won’t be disappointed.

From day 1 of planning I never had to worry about thing, Nicole was on the ball with every aspect of the day. Honestly it felt like we had our own personal wedding planner and it took so much stress out of the planning, especially with our 2 little daughters as part of the big day. Nicole even put together a design for our wedding table plans. Anything that we asked about was never an issue or a problem, we felt so at ease and reassured the whole way through to the big day.

On the wedding day itself, the attention to detail, the lights, the décor, the reception entertainment were just exceptional. All of our guests were blown away with how much went into it. We added some extras for the kids (candy cart and ice cream cart) and then a gin bar for the big kids! Nicole and Damien were on hand throughout the day and the entire team looked after each of us so well. The service and food were just fantastic and the most important thing was that neither of us had to worry about a thing.

We also had our day 2 on the rooftop terrace which was just amazing, such a laid back day with great food. Anthony was on hand all day looking after us and ensuring that everyone was well catered for.

Nicole and the team were such a big part of such an important day, and without them it would not have created the memories that we now have! My sister in law has now booked her wedding for 2025 it was that amazing!

was the reason we decided to see if the then co-ordinator, was available to show us around. The hotel itself has a fantastic atmosphere, and packages that suit every budget, and wedding. We booked it there and then! We got some great recommendations from the hotel, about bands etc which was a great help. Any questions or help needed was never any trouble. Sally came on board about 8 months before our wedding and she was amazing. She had very big shoes to fill and she's certainly done that together with Steve. The day itself went so so well, I wasn't stressed either way as I knew there was no need to. Most of this is down to Sally & Steve....The dream team! We had our ceremony in the hotel also which went amazingly. Sally was there cool, calm and collected, directing everyone to where they should be and making sure it all ran smoothly. For our drinks reception, we were off having photo's done and every single guest commented on the food and service they received during this time. It was all exquisite. Again, the food served at the hotel is second to none, it's top top quality. Steve took over from the first course being served and it was like watching a conductor of an orchestra, fantastic to watch. Everything went perfectly, bearing in mind we had two small children of our own, one of which decided today was the day for the absolute meltdown of the year. Steve even went off to get calpol for me!! Nothing was too much trouble. I've only a few lines left to say everything and it's not enough. Every one of our guests had to travel for our wedding and every one of them left with an assurance that they would be staying there again. The hotel is amazing, the staff are top class!

We were treated so well and the lead up to our wedding we had over 140 guests arrive from Tipperary UK and Dublin.

Karen was the first wedding coordinator we met and then we met Sally who was there for us at everything we needed, so helpful and kind and anything we asked was done. Thank you Sally so much. You are so fabulous at what you do.
All the staff from front of house, bar, waiting restaurant floor, all staff were so lovely and helpful.
Our wedding day we could not have asked for more and everyone was treated like kings and queens. Food was amazing and we asked each table how was food and they had all enjoyed it so much. Thanks to the chefs and kitchen staff.
Everything went off more than we expected and more again.
They worked with our suppliers so well and nothing was too much trouble.
Sometimes things happen and go wrong and if anything went wrong it was fixed in an instant.

The food on the day was exceptional and we have received so many compliments from our guests on our choice of venue – from the quality of the meal to the 5 star service they received from each member of staff. We honestly could not recommend this hotel enough as the ideal wedding venue. The hotel also went above and beyond to ensure they had a suitable wheelchair accessible bedroom available for the mother of the groom on the night of the wedding and when 2 of our guests had to put their babies to bed mid meal Ruth arranged to have the rest of their meal sent up to their room. For us this was exceptional customer service which didn’t go unnoticed. Finally, a special thank you must go to Karen, Sally, Ruth and Martin – in the weeks leading up to the wedding and since the wedding anytime we walk through the doors we always get the warmest of welcomes. Karen and her team did a fantastic job on the day.. they were all so helpful and friendly. The room was laid out EXACTLY how I had seen it in my head all along. Beautiful, classy, unique.. just what we wanted.
The hotel itself is fab. Modern rooms and extremely friendly staff which is always a plus.
We travelled from my local church in Bunratty, 50 minutes from the hotel. All of our guests (240) travelled from Clare and afar and they are still raving about the whole day; venue, arrival reception, the FOOD, staff, the comfy beds, our band, the wine;) cocktails.. there was nothing to complain about.. alot have said it was the best wedding they had been to and I can't agree more!!
I just wish we could do it all again.. it was honestly the BEST DAY of our lives and I cannot emphasise how brilliant Loughrea hotel and spa hotel was for my dream wedding. Nothing was a problem.
I Loved every minute of being there.. I would do it all again in a heartbeat!!

Fab hotel couldn't recommend it highly enough. Myself and Sean got married in March this year. the staff were excellent and very accommodating. The piano lounge was beautifully set up and I loved the piano on arrival.

us living in Canada, could have created difficulties in timing communications, etc. Karen, the wedding coordinator, was so amazing, patient and understanding, we felt reassured and relaxed throughout! The hotel were excellent when it came to ensuring all our guests were well looked after and catered for, including those with specialised dietary and mobility requirements. From the night before, to the day of the ceremony (which we had in the hotel!), to the barbecue on the rooftop garden the following day, we have nothing but good things to say about the venue and all the staff. The venue itself is of the highest standard and comfort,(every one of our guests were so complimentary of their rooms and the service); the staff were fantastic, professional and yet, personable! To describe the food thoughout the entire weekend, we would have to use the word 'Gorgeous'!!! As regards pricing, you couldn't get better value for money, you really couldn't. Everything was of the highest quality, the atmosphere and ambiance were beautiful, the staff were wonderful and went above and beyond, the wedding coordinator was outstanding. We honestly cannot give the place enough praise! With only having two weeks back in Ireland for our wedding, The Loughrea Hotel and Spa made us feel like we were home!

meal was served without delay and it was beautiful. Many of our guests remarked at how friendly and professional all the hotel staff were especially the servers. We had some guests with specific dietary requirements and they were catered for perfectly.

We had some children at our wedding, the smaller room just off the piano lounge was great. We had arranged for the kids to have their dinner served in there so the parents got to have their meal in peace, they were delighted. The hotel also had some DVDs and games organised for them so they were entertained for hours.

The bridal suite was fabulous. We were treated to a champagne breakfast the following morning which we enjoyed looking out at the beautiful views of Loughrea lake.

Although the weather for the day after wasn't in our favour, we had a bbq on the rooftop garden. The rooftop conservatory was great for our small gathering. The food was great and the cocktails were even better!!

We would highly recommend the Loughrea Hotel and Spa for a wedding or any special occasion. We would sincerely like to thank Pat and Una and all the staff especially Karen for all their hard work which made our day so memorable.

room was amazing and the turn around efficient. The reception, the meal was divine, my vegetarian friends said it was the nicest vegetarian meal they had gotten at a wedding in a long time. Another few guests who had dietary requirements were looked after easily and all commented at how great the service was. The night after we had a party on the rooftop bar, this bar is just brilliant the BBQ was gorgeous and everybody thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We cannot say enough good about the hotel, we had a lot of children at the day and the children's playroom was a great hit we barely saw them for the day they were all delighted having their own space. Myself and Mike have been together for nearly 13 years when we got married 29th August 2015, nearly 11 years engaged, 2 years organizing it with 3 children and it was way worth the wait. but adding it on to our package afterwards was not a problem. When we stayed in the hotel before our wedding for Valentines Day & also the night of our menu tasting, we were treated like royalty! They made time for us even though they were busy with other functions taking place in the hotel on both nights. John Coen the Manager & Karen Brady especially I highly praise as nothing was impossible & they both were very understanding for every little change & question I had on the lead up to our big day. The little extra's that we didn't know about like the waiting staff lifting up the silver plated dome things at the meal for every course & the lanterns leading guests into the reception room was a lovely touch of class! I would if I had my time over, book this venue again & will without any hesitation recommend this venue. Pat McDonagh has done this venue justice. Even Pat approached us later that evening wondering was everything to our liking...what a nice man! HUGE THUMBS UP! We will definitely be returning for a night away again soon.
