had to postpone our wedding from March until September due to Covid and Aimee was always so positive and friendly, no matter the question or issue and always put our minds at ease.
It is a beautiful location and one we fell in love with from our first viewing. The recent renovations to the hotel have made it even more charming. The whole process from food tasting to our wedding day was great and very relaxed. Aimee was always on hand to guide us through the whole process, giving advice and ensuring that our wedding day would reflect what we were looking for and would run smoothly.
We were extremely lucky with the weather for the weekend as it was lovely and sunny. The wedding itself had a very relaxed atmosphere, thanks to Aimee, Emma and the staff. We had an amazing day, and nothing was too much to ask. The function room, turntable and grounds were decorated beautifully. With the great weather, we were able to spend more time outside chatting with our guests and take advantage of the grounds. The grounds are beautiful, they are nice to explore and are a great setting for wedding photos. The hotel is a lovely, relaxed setting full of charm.
If you are looking for a venue for your wedding, we would highly recommend the Station House Hotel.

The venue itself has a beautiful set up and it was perfect for a personal wedding with no fussing. All the staff made everything so easy for us and our guests were all very impressed with the venue and the food as well couldn't have been better. We were extremely well looked after on the day.

fabulous for photographs. The bridal suite is beyond amazing - a very unique experience.

The staff were all brilliant and so friendly and helpful. I have regularly been at a wedding where you feel at the end of your night you have overstayed your welcome. This was not the case the staff at the end of the night were still as friendly as they were at the beginning of the evening.

The food was beautiful and we have since gone back to have dinner there on special occasions.

The Station House Hotel is a must see for any couple that are looking at venues for their special day. They will not be let down by this quaint special place.

arrived for our wedding viewing the hotel was just stunning and the grounds beautiful. Sarah was so amazing, she made us feel like we were the only bride & groom out there. Anything we asked for they met our needs. Nothing was an issue & they went above & beyond for us both. We had many meetings coming up to our wedding day & each time was so pleasant & we were treated so well. Sarah took such an interest in every part of our day not only the venue but, dresses, hair etc. All the staff are so friendly, The food was exceptional (words from our guests too) and the ballroom was finished to the finest detail. I still dream about doing it all over again & the day was just perfect, more then we could have ever imagined & that was down to every member of staff at the Station House Hotel, we would highly recommend the Station House as a wedding venue.

Aimee and the team kept in touch during every government announcement. They were there when I needed a cry about numbers and helped me figure out how to keep everyone happy during such challenging times. This was all new for them too, and they handled it amazingly. I didn’t have to do any stressing on the lead up to our special day. The price of the packages they offer is absolutely amazing. We were on a tight budget with losing out from our original wedding booking but it wasn’t tight for The Station House. We were blown away by what was included in the packages, we were so delighted to be able to afford so much. We went for the Summer Express package - it is excellent. We got married on the 18th August 2020 and the day went so smoothly and perfectly. Aimee and Emma Donegan looked after everything, I didn’t need to think about a thing, other than having a fantastic day. The grounds are absolutely stunning. The food was so gorgeous - from breakfast, afternoon tea, nibbles and dinner. The facilities are excellent and you want for nothing. You don’t even need to do any decorating because their decor is simply stunning.

Although the venue is an old train station it was fully accessible for both my daughter who has mobility issues and my nana who is 95. The grounds are cosy and intimate with rooms to suit everyone. The hotel’s accommodation is fabulous. It is newly renovated. It is so chic, stylish and vintage all in one. Right up my street! we got married in the turntable, the most enchanted, stunning and unique place.

changed from the function room to the restaurant. The wedding team in the Station House created a stunning venue for us and our guests. Flowers, scented candles and personalized menu cards were expertly arranged to create a heavenly reception venue.

On arrival at the Station House we were met by friendly and attentive staff who served up prosecco, craft beer and delicious canapes. Photographs were taken in the stunning grounds of the hotel. From the beautiful gardens to the historic turntable, there were so many idyllic places for wedding photos to be taken. Our photographer commented that it was an ideal setting.

Following our speeches which were held in the bar, we moved into the restaurant for the meal. Every guest commented on the quality of the meal from start to finish. it is impossible to pick out a highlight of the meal - it was so good. More than enough for all guests and extras offered to those with a larger appetite. Staff during the meal were very attentive and were quick to assist with anything requested by guests.

Following our meal we retired back to the bar. Although no live music was permitted due to COVID rules, the intimate atmosphere of the bar meant there was no shortage of chats and laughs. Luckily for us, a wedding guest was a trained pianist and he was happy to play some tunes on the hotel's piano which of course lead to an impromptu sing-song.

At the end of the night we retired to our honeymoon suite. The Honeymoon Suite simply is a must-see. Luxury, comfort and history all rolled into one. The Station House Hotel went above and beyond to ensure we had a dream day. The wedding team of Aimee and Sarah went above and beyond to ensure we had a dream day.

On the day everything was just perfect, the venue set up, our fabulous ceremony on the grounds, the food, the extra touches were clearly visible and the staff were amazing. The Carriage Suite Ballroom was a perfect addition - we felt like royalty.

I would recommend Station House and Sarah as a wedding planner to anyone. It's clear how much she loves her job and she's top notch at it too.

Ciara in accommodation was fantastic about answering questions and changing rooms.

On the day itself, Emma was incredible! She made sure everyone was catered for, even people who hadn't submitted their dietary requirements prior. My grandparents are in their late 80's and my husband Nana is in her early 80's, Emma made sure they were especially well looked after. The venue itself is beautiful. We were lucky that the weather was beautiful and we could have our ceremony outside in the wonderful turntable. All of the food was delicious! The Station House focus heavily on good quality local produce and it shows.

All of our guests thoroughly enjoyed their day, night and the great breakfast the following morning. My husband and I can't speak highly enough of the Station House Hotel and would highly recommend it to any couple getting married.

Emma, the restaurant manager was in charge of things on the day itself and was really outstanding, in particular making a special effort with elderly guests and their dietary requirements. Food was top notch and again allergies and dietary requirements were very well catered for. Lovely to have such an intimate and private venue for the day.

Michelle was amazing and so accommodating of our scatter-brain planning style. They provided a list of suppliers that we could use or not, after some searching we booking all of the recommended suppliers, they were brilliant. They set out realistic and achievable deadlines for payments so it didn't feel overwhelming. Michelle even gave us the idea for The Fire Guys for our evening entertainment. 6 months later, people are still talking about it.

Emma on the day was like a super-ninja, out of sight working her magic so nothing went sideways. The outdoor ceremony was beautiful, food was amazing, definitely worth going back just to eat! It didn't feel stuffy and "the usual". The salmon was divine. I loved the throne chairs especially with my poofy dress. They really thought of all the little things to make our big day unforgettable.

Sarah and Denise, who listened to my many tears over the phone last week, when we were convinced we would need to cancel, you were full of help and reassurance, and massively helped to reduce our anxiety.

To all the staff on the day, who were so personal with us, every time they spoke with us. You laughed with us, and made us feel like absolutely royalty for the day. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel in general exceeded every expectation we could possibly have had in our minds. We are beyond satisfied with our choice to book our wedding with you, and have been since that first day two years ago, when we drove up the driveway and were greeted by Emmett. We booked immediately and have never looked back.

Finally to Emma, we can't begin to express our gratitude to you. Above and beyond doesn't begin to describe all that you did. Staying the night on Friday, to allow me to stay over, just to calm my hysterics, in itself is so mind blowing, but you were always within eye shot throughout the day. We knew you were crazy busy, keeping everything under control. As far as we were concerned the day went without a hitch.

On a personal note, in the run up to the wedding I was worried about getting ready to walk up the aisle after my bridesmaids had gone ahead. I was so worried about being alone with my thoughts at that moment, and not having my dad beside me. But you stood in front of me, almost as if you knew, you kept eye contact, and you reassured me that you will stay alongside me, on the other path, while I walked myself. I will never forget that moment, and the support I felt from you. I may have been a teary bag of emotions, but I knew I wasn't alone.

Without hesitation, we would recommend the Station House Hotel to anybody that will listen, for any occasion. When all odds seemed against us, you were as determined as we were to see the wedding through. Your work ethic and professionalism knows no bounds. Please let us know, when you might open again as a hotel to the public, we will be first on the list to return and hope to return regularly for a long time to come.

Organising a wedding during a pandemic and also working on the frontline was challenging but as regards our venue we didn’t have to worry about anything. On our wedding day, the sun was out and we got to get married outside with incredible photos around the grounds, everyone felt safe with guidelines adhered to and we were able to enjoy our wedding day despite reduced numbers.

this place is with its fairy lights, vintage decor and amazing team.

I train customer service skills, and as such have very high expectations for same. The team at the Station House excel at making you and your guests feel at home. I remember a few days before the big day we were in the Station House finalising last minute details, and while we there one of the lounge girls and bar men came up to us to personally introduce themselves, and wish us luck before the big day, which I thought was a lovely gesture.

I also have to give a special thank you to Jade and Emma, (wedding coordinator and operational manager) for making sure everything ran like clockwork on the day.

about the day. The food was great and all our guest with food allergies had a wonderful day too and ate well. Riuri, the DJ recommended by the hotel was just brilliant and knew exactly how to keep everyone on the floor. (we didn't bother with a band) the hotel is quaint with lots of little areas to sit and chat and share time with friends and just perfect for a small wedding. we had the choice of the main hotel or the function room and the garden is just beautiful for fun photos. we didn't have the service outside (our choice) but were assured of lots of warm blankets if we decided on the day to change our minds. The staff are just fantastic and nothing is too much for them. It all comes very natural and every one of them work as a great team. I asked for lots of fairy lights and the staff went in first thing and put the christmas decor up especially for me. It was just perfect and with the wedding so near christmas it went down a treat with everyone and looked fantastic in the photos. So thank you Vivienne,Henry and all the wonderful staff for making our wedding day the best day ever.....

all over Ireland but this was by far the most amazing. From the consultation, to the tasting to the wedding, it was perfect. The venue is absolutely breath-taking, the hotel is quaint and gorgeous, while the food is sublime. Everyone one of our guests still rave about the place and how perfect it was. We had the hotel to ourselves pretty much for 3 days, and it was fantastic. The kids really enjoyed the beautiful gardens while everyone got to relax and enjoy the hotel. The turntable and gardens are impeccable and have being maintained to an amazing standard, simply gorgeous. The character of the hotel is brilliant, not like new hotels that are vast, empty and cold. It was cosy, warm and welcoming. Also, it was great not to have loads of randomers noising in on top of our wedding like it most other hotels. The staff were class. From the wedding coordinators, to managers, chef, bar staff and waiting staff, the service was unreal. Everyone had a huge smile always and could not do enough to help. They made everyone feel important, rather than just a number. The standard of food is better than Michelin star restaurants, and not tiny portions either that leave you still hungry. The flavors leave you mouth tingling with excitement. We honestly cannot rave about this hotel enough, it was incredible and, our 70 guests thought so too. were able to sit back and relax on the day and I can honestly say we did not have to worry about a thing as we were confident that everything was being looked after just the way we wanted. The food was superb and people are still talking about how delicious it was! The Station House Hotel is a fabulous venue for any event, but for a Wedding it is just so romantic. It rained for most of the day but we still managed to get amazing photos under the trees and a member of staff was always on hand with an umbrella. We were treated like royalty. The setting is just so beautiful and with such an amazing wedding team I really can't fault a thing. We wish we could relive the day all over again! We had a big enough number of guests, c. 155 and I wouldn't recommend going over this number with the room size. I loved the set up for the band and the staff stayed up with us til late! We had a fantastic day and Elaine the wedding co-ordinator really helped a lot with all our last minute requests. Some of the bedrooms are over the main banquet room so are not at all suitable for older people or those who might want to retire a bit early as the noise is a problem.

I live in the UK which made it more difficult to plan the wedding but the staff were very accommodating in arranging meetings with me and replying to emails regarding the smallest details. I cannot fault each of the suppliers that we had on the day which were recommended by The Station House Hotel and they all endeavored to make our wedding day as great as they could. Everyone made sure the day went off without a hitch and I am very grateful for this. The champagne reception on arrival was lovely and the fresh scones and jam were relished by our guests. The meal itself was excellent and very tasty. The food was nicely presented, hot, plentiful and tasted great. The service by the waiting staff was punctual and polite and all our guests were very well looked after. The reception hall was an ideal size for our numbers and we danced the night away. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the day and we had a ball! The bridal suite is very comfortable and unique. The hotel recommended some vendors to us for our flowers, cake, photos etc. They were all top quality vendors and they worked very well with us and the hotel. high food quality as we are rather fussy and demanding about food. The 5 course dinner and the canapées were delicious and all our quests complemented it. We were lucky enough to have a great weather so the ceremony was outdoors and this is what we always were hoping for. The station house hotel has a beautiful grounds, kids were playing and having fun outside riding bikes, skateboards etc. while adults could finally relax in a bit of sunshine.
From a financial point of view, this venue was a great value, the fact that some wine was included in the menu saved us loads of money and allowed us to purchase more drinks for our guests at the arrival.

If I was to get married again I would definitely have it in the Station house Hotel and what's the most important all our guests loved too.

The station house hotel made our special day Really special and totally hassle free.

If someone was asking, would definitely and confidently recommend it to everyone.

We had an amazing day and so did all our guests, they spoke highly of the excellent food, how much of it there was and the friendly staff.

we booked our date there and then.
In the months leading up to our wedding, every query we had was just an email or phone call away.
On the wedding day itself everything went perfectly. The car picked me up a few hours before the wedding so I could put my dress on in the venue and relax with my family and bridesmaids before the ceremony. Sarah and Henry popped in and out for a few little chats to calm my nerves and talk us through the logistics but still gave us our space, and did the same with my husband to be's party. The hotel staff set up everything exactly as we wanted as we had a few little props etc. We got married on site, and despite our wish to have the ceremony outdoors, a little rain got in the way of this plan. However the ceremony set up was turned around at the last minute (in about half an hour!) to be held in the reception room, and it looked so amazing that I couldn't imagine it not being there now in retrospect! After the ceremony everything flowed so well from drinks reception through to calling the bell for dinner. We didn't even need to think or worry about anything on the day. The timeline we had talked through was down to a T. Food came out as gorgeous as we had come to expect from our few visits in the lead up to the day, piping hot and with plenty of seconds. After dinner the turnaround of the room for the party was quick, around half an hour, and our guests went into the bar for a few drinks before the dancing. A few of the more dedicated patrons stayed up for the late bar chatting to the lovely bar staff!
I couldn't recommend this venue and the wedding planners there enough. We can't wait to visit again for our first anniversary.

wasn't to sure about the procedure she was more than happy to help. We got married Sept 2014 and the sun was shining in Ireland! After the ceremony visited the Abbey (10 min drive past the hotel) for photographs. When we arrived at the Hotel to be greeted by the general manager and the wedding coordinator with champagne. Anything I or my husband wanted was just a question away.
We had 100 guests and the room was amazingly laid out. The food was outstanding, very tasty and hot. All of our guests loved the food and breakfast the next day. All our guests where welcomed and accommodated to a high standard.
I would highly recommend The Station House Hotel not only because of the building and grounds its self but for the service, attention to detail and food.

that from start to finish everything ran smoothly. The barman Hugh was so personable and is fantastic at his job, as are the waiting staff. All of our guests have been raving about how beautiful the venue is and that laid back atmosphere meant that both adults and children alike thourougly enjoyed themselves. From start to finish we could not a fault a thing. The Staff of the Statiion House Hotel are a credit to the venue and they contribute to making the venue so special. had the pleasure to deal with. The day ran so smoothly and we were made to feel so special, all our guests gave glowing reviews on the staff, service and the meal. I only wish I could do it all over again and I wouldn't change a thing, it was perfect. Thank you, Sarah, Derek, Henry, Emmet and to all the staff at the Station House Hotel for a wonderful day. had only set foot in the Station House Hotel a few minutes before it was the top of our list. We loved the cozy, homely feel that the Station house provided. All of the other venues we had viewed were large hotels with no character or atmosphere or personality. We immediately loved the relaxed feel to the place and it was a venue bursting with charm and character. We knew our guests would immediately feel at ease here. Sarah and Henry were very professional, helpful and open to all of our suggestions and comments. In the run up to the wedding Sarah provided excellent attention to detail; a trait which Henry continued on the day itself. There was nothing that happened on the day that hadn't been discussed well in advance. The staff were all very attentive; one staff member who noticed the guest book in the foyer had not been signed, was quick to have it passed around to each table! The food was amazing and we could see why the restaurant has won numerous awards. Our only criticism was there was too much food, which is hardly a criticism at all!! The grounds were beautiful for taking photographs and the hotel was more than happy to have the venue fully decorated early for Christmas on request. The day turned out exactly as we had hoped. Our family and friends have had nothing but praise and have commented on how it has completely changed their expectations for a smaller-scale wedding. 2010. We were so amazed at the venue that we decided to have our own wedding their. We first met with Sarah the wedding co-ordinator. Who we found so helpfull and accommodating. Sarah would only be a phone call away and would help us out with any problems or queries that we had. We had a Civil Ceremony at the venue. The room was lovely decorated and Sarah was on hand to meet Janice when she arrived. After the Ceremony the staff were excellent in looking after all our guest's. They were all talking about it for weeks afterwards. The food at our wedding was outstanding, and well served by the staff. Henry was so helpful and made us feel so relaxed at the speeches. To this day we still have our family and friends commenting on the lovely food and service at our wedding. We had our wedding photograph's taken in the lovely gardens on the grounds of the hotel. And they turned out perfect. The honeymoon suite at the hotel was picturesque. The staff at the Hotel made it the best day of our lives from the start until the end. We would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel for people to get married in as it's an outstanding venue and the staff can never do enough for you. The staff are so helpful, professional and polite. We are looking forward to our Anniversary as we plan to spend it at The Station House Hotel with spectacular food and service. couldn't find somewhere that was homely, relaxed, laid back, had stunning gardens & was within our budget until we went to the Station house. We got a great package that didn't cost the earth & there were no hidden costs that I've seen with other hotels. I've never been to a hotel that has so much character & charm. We dealt with Sarah the wedding co-ordinator & nothing was a problem to her, she was a pleasure to deal with as were all of the staff, from the manager Derek who looked after us on the day to the bar staff. All of guests raved about the food & the service & someone said ours was the best wedding they had ever been to as it was so relaxed which was exactly what we wanted. Even the breakfast was lovely the next morning. I'd love all of my friends to have their weddings here so I could experience it as a guest. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. perfectly . . its such an family place and every staff member knew everybody by there first name from the very start and took plenty of time to talk to everybody at the wedding . . all my guests were all so impressed with the service and friendlyness they recieved . . all family and friends said it was the best wedding hotel they had being in . . loved my day so much and the station house really were a hugh part of it . . rachael dublin . .

before our big day. We communicated mainly via email as i live abroad and Sarah always replied to me within a couple of days answering any questions i had and making suggestions. On the morning of the wedding the Station House Hotel arranged a mini bus which picked us up in a hotel we were staying nearby the night before. Our big day was everything we dreamed of. The sun was shining which meant we could have the ceremony outside at the turntable. Walking through the wooded area towards the turntable felt like something out of a fairytale. The sunlight glowing through the trees as we lit our unity candle is something i will always remember. The picturesque romantic location was the perfect setting for our wedding photos. The manager of the hotel, Henry was there to assist us and guide us through the day. His calm easy manner helped put our minds at ease. All the staff were very friendly and efficient and no request seemed to big. The staff were so helpful making sure everyone had what they needed during the meal and the whole day really. The paid alot of attention to our guests who had a small baby with them, cutting up his vegtables etc. The food was delicious and went down a treat with all. The room where the dinner and dancing was held was very intimate. I would highly recommend this hotel to any couples thinking of holding their wedding there. Sarah, Henry and all the staff helped make our special day a truly memorable one.

was served hot to our 120 guests within minutes and they easily and happily catered to some special requests that we had (eg diabetic). The location is super also, some great photo opportunities in the well kept grounds. Our huge thanks to all at the Station House!

for us. The atmosphere of the place is very homely and welcoming, the rooms are very comfortable and affordable and the food was excellent. All of the guests at our wedding have had great things to say about this hotel and we would definitely highly recommend it.

just how good the food was. Myself and my mother are coeliac and they couldnt have done anymore for us, they even provided a special breakfast to suit our dietary requirements. The atmosphere of the hotel is perfect for a wedding as you really do have the whole place to yourself and all the attention of the staff. The bridal suite is fab. We got gorgeous photo's in the grounds of the hotel so there was no need to stop off on the way there. Sarah the wedding co-ordinator was always there to help and answer any question we had before the wedding and Derek was a great help on the day and he really made sure the day ran smoothly. As an extra they even gave us engraved champagne glasses, such a nice touch. Overall experience was amazing and we are so glad we chose the stationhouse for our venue. Sarah & Greg
