breaking the planning down into achievable chunks. She was not overwhelming or invasive, she simply reminded us at certain points in time what needed to be done next and offered her support with every element.

On the day Kathleen was relaxed and her bubbly personality shone during our ceremony. Our guests really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere she created. The hand fastening ceremony was so beautiful and moving, Kathleen was very accommodating, we could involve as many loved ones as we liked so it meant every body that meant something to us had a part.

Kathleen listened to what we had in mind and got to know us she then gave us lots of ideas on both the structure and content of our ceremony to make it special and personal to us. One of the best such ideas was the personal introductions at the beginning of the ceremony where we could tell our story to our family and friends, something we hadn't seen at many weddings previously so it made the ceremony so memorable to us.

He even paid attention to the little details such as the font size on our vows to ensure we could read them with ease! We were so lucky to be married by the wonderful Miriam Fitzgerald. She visited us at home five months before the wedding and walked us through the ceremony, making suggestions and highlighting details we that would have missed. ours to do exactly as we wished. I had heard about other ministers enforcing their personalities and rules on friends' ceremonies but Miriam took her cue from the both of us. On the day, she was simply bloody brilliant. She arrived in my hotel room to see how I was and sat with my mother while I had my make-up done. Then she was gone, leaving me to concentrate on getting ready and steadying my nerves. After the wedding, Niall told me that she had spent time keeping him calm before going into introduce herself to our readers and everyone who was involved in the ceremony. Neither of us had expected this. She calmed nervous readers and instructed all parties involved in the ribbon ceremony and all of this was done as discreetly as possible. My father appreciated her encouragement and support for his speech while aging religious relatives who had not known what to expect were completely won over by the reverence she leant to our day. All I had to do was walk up the aisle to be married. We cannot recommend her highly enough. Her attention to detail surpassed mine and I'm a bit of a control freak.

to have a personal wedding ceremony which we were putting together and that Vinny was Orchestrating. It was requested that Vinny took a laid back approach to suit our demeanor and this he did. His wit and good humor was mixed perfectly with seriousness at the right times during the ceremony! We got to integrate all of our family and our friends closely and we will have those memories for ever more! While this was only one hour of the day, it was the most important one as it set the tone for what was to come. Those who attended were reduced to tears due to the personal nature of the ceremony and for us that is sufficient in explaining the fantastic job that Vinny done for us. Our Celebrant Minister John Fitzgerald was exceptional in officiating our ceremony. Myself and my husband met with John in April and had a discussion and planned out how the ceremony was going to proceed. We did not have any experience as we haven't attended any spiritual or humanist ceremonies and …

John went through and explained what was entailed. John asked questions as to what information we would like to include in the ceremony, the structure of the ceremony, who we could involve, what the music could be. At all times, John assured us if there was any questions or queries , he would be happy to advise by phone or email and nothing was any bother to ask.. We met with John a second time, before we did this John had emailed our planned ceremony and for us to fill in the details. From then on I was in contact with John for any calls with queries, John always started the conversation with how we al were advised on how our children could be involved and always ended the conversation saying, anything you need at all, just get in contact with me. At all times, John was professional, calm, reassuring, answered anything we asked or needed to know. On the day itself, John did a fabulous job on the ceremony, treating it with the dignity and professionalism.. I felt John got a sense of our characters, who we were and what we were about and how we wanted our ceremony to be. The ceremony was very important to us and I felt John executed its delivery in a way that reflected our meetings and contact with him over the previous months. After the day itself, our guests commented on how lovely our Celebrant was and what a lovely man he was. The management of the hotel also commented on our ceremony and how lovely it was and how sincere John was. Working with Kathleen was easy as she was quick to respond and/or clarify any of our issues. Kathleen checked in with us in the month leading up to the wedding to finalise details. Our Solemiser was Helen O'Sullivan, who was absolutely fabulous.From the moment we met Helen we all gelled.We were made to feel very comfortable, she took note of all our wishes for the very Special Day ahead of us.Helen also advised us on every criteria involved in our Spiritual Ceremony. She was at the other end of the phone line should we have needed her for any issues that we had to be discussed.
As it happened we did have a major problem come up literally two days prior to our Wedding.Helen was on hand to calm and encourage us to stay positive for a good outcome. We were truly blessed that despite it not occurring until the '11th hour', we were able to have our Wedding Ceremony as planned.Helen really was as anxious as ourselves but didn't show that until all the legalities were confirmed at 3.50pm day before our 4pm ceremony!!
The ceremony was something else. Our venue was the picturesque Little Belfry Chapel, Glenbeigh, Co Kerry.No longer used for religious occasions. We wrote our own Vows and Promises, which meant so much to ourselves.The readings, candle lighting for departed family members, our candle lighting, the tying of the ribbons uniting both families plus our choice of music/songs made Our Day so wonderful. Most of my family members had never been to a Spiritualist ceremony and were very impressed with the service. All my guests stated that they had an amazing time and that it had been one of the most pleasant weddings they had ever attended.
Minister John Fitzgerald not only conducted the ceremony but did not rush off straight away staying for the sit down meal and for some of the evening entertainment as well.
I have already recommended your service to other family members and friends in Ireland and also here in England as I am aware that you travel to accomodate services in England, Scotland and Wales.
All in all I cannot praise your service enough and have the video of the whole ceremony to watch over and over again (which I have done...lol) as I had the advantage of having a nephew who works for RTE and a brother who is a wedding photographer to make this possible. From start to finish the process of booking through Spiritual Ceremonies was simple and efficient. As a couple who aren't based in Ireland, we were worried about the logistics of meeting our Solemniser to make arrangements but we needn't have. Tom was very flexible with the time we had when we did …

pop over to do the wedding breakfast taster and go to sort the marriage licence. He even collected us from the train station and took us to a beautiful estate telling us all the local history on the way.

The ceremony itself is all about you and your partner and your life together which, in my opinion, is how it should be. You receive drafts of the ceremony to approve and any changes are easily made until you are happy with the final script.

On the day, when I was outside waiting to go in, Tom came out to talk to me and calm me down and that continued throughout. He is very in touch with how everyone is feeling and reacts to that to ensure everyone, especially the bride and groom, feel happy and comfortable.

Every one of our guests commented on how lovely and relaxed the ceremony was and how great and charismatic Tom was. He definitely has the Irish charm which made our day even more special.

We had to jump through a lot of hoops in order to get legally married in Ireland, but Miriam was ready to change our wedding to a commitment ceremony if need be. investigating on Spiritual Ceremonies we decided that was the way to go. We had our 1st meeting with our Spiritualist. A lovely lady called Sharon. She talked us through everything and decided what aspects we wanted in the ceremony and how long/short we would like it to be. She sorted out a rough draft for us to go through. Unfortunately about 5 weeks before the wedding we received word that Sharon would no longer be able to do our ceremony and that our new Spiritualist would be another Lady called Vivienne. As I suffer from anxiety I started to panic and think all sorts. Then Vivienne contacted us to arrange a meeting as she said she would like to meet us before the big day. So we had a meeting and I must say my mind was quickly put to rest. I explained about my anxiety and Vivienne couldn't of been more supportive. She even redone the draft from beforehand so that she was confident she knew what we wanted. Finally the big day came and Vivienne met up with us before the ceremony individually to walk us through things and reassured me especially not to panic haha. I couldn't recommend Spiritual Ceremonies enough, everything was so handy and so straight forward. 6 months after the wedding we still have people coming back to us again to tell us our wedding was the best they had been to and how personal it was. Even some have said they wish they could remarry so they can have the same ceremony :-) sorry for ranting on so much (that is the short version)

Likewise with the ceremony - Berenice was completely open to our suggestions as to the layout and order of the ceremony. We wanted a spiritual ceremony, similar to a Liturgy of the Word, and we worked it all out together.

The solemniser is a very important part of the day, and we were totally comfortable in the lead up to the ceremony as we had trust and confidence in Berenice. It was great not to have to wonder would she be ok.

On the day she arrived very early and it was good for me to be able to check a few things with her, we sorted the layout and she met the family members etc

met her at a wedding fair and instantly felt relaxed talking to her and loved the sound of their ceremonies. We booked them the next day and by chance was assigned Miriam (much to our delight!). She was so hands on and no matter how late I emailed I always got a reply (the bulk of my organising was done when the children went to bed). The first time we met her together I saw my husband go from the quiet man that most people know him as to this chatty relaxed man who was cracking jokes. They hit it off instantly and I knew there and then we had nothing to worry about. Our ceremony was just beautiful. Intimate, relaxed, full of laughter and included not only our children but the guests too.I wouldn’t change a second of it. It was so nice to have something wrote specifically for us and about us and allowed our personalities shine through.
She was so good my friend rang me a week later to ask if I minded if she requested her for her wedding :)
I honestly can’t recommend her enough. A truly wonderful woman!
