Believing that the heart of a wedding celebration is the food, Chef Seamus Commons and his team ensure that this tradition is maintained throughout your special day with appealing menus and refined presentation. Seamus is originally from Mayo himself, and so has a particular affinity with the amazing local produce of the region with which himself and his team work their magic, and his menus use only the very best of fine local, seasonal ingredients including produce grown on-site in Knockranny’s own gardens. the hotel was just beautiful. Claire made the communication throughout the planning so stress-free and easy and in the lead up took so much of the expected wedding stress away. The day itself was amazing. All the staff were brilliant, so friendly and the service was outstanding, the food was gorgeous and so hot (our guests still rave about it!) and the day ran so smoothly, Claire was amazing from start to finish in ensuring our day went amazingly and checked in with us for the rest of our stay there which was so lovely. Planning the wedding was made easy thanks to Claire, who was attentive, organised, and always available to answer our questions and accommodate our requests. Her expertise and calm demeanor were invaluable. On the day itself, the personal touch of Geraldine and Adrian, the owners, greeting our guests, made everyone feel welcome and valued.

The venue itself is stunning, with elegant decor and a warm, inviting atmosphere. It provided the perfect backdrop for our celebration. Everything was perfect, from the ceremony to the reception. better. Claire and the staff went above and beyond our expectations. The rooms, comfortable beds, the staff, the food, the lovely in house babysitter that came in to mind our kids, we honestly couldn't fault anything.
Our family and friends had the best day and are still going on about the staff being so friendly and the food saying "Each course just kept getting better".
