Thomas Prior Hall is a 19th-century Victorian Wedding Venue in the heart of Ballsbridge, Dublin 4 minutes away from the City Centre. The venue is famous for its stunning surroundings and impressive décor. It is the ideal venue for a Dublin wedding. Fully licensed to host civil ceremonies, perfect for weddings of up to 140 guests with a private entrance, bar and kitchen.

Description

Steeped in history, Thomas Prior Hall is a venue that has been beautifully restored into the eye-catching wedding venue it is today. An original Victorian building, constructed to be a Masonic Girls School in the 19th Century, it is located on the grounds of the Four-Star Clayton Hotel Ballsbridge. It makes the most memorable setting and promises an unforgettable experience for all its guests. The magical church-like venue has several unique features, such as a separate porch entrance, ornate oak panelled walls, stained glass windows, choir balcony, spectacular chandeliers, in-built up lighters, a private kitchen and bar, an impressive vaulted wooden ceiling and an outside seating area overlooking our manicured gardens and water fountain.

The Thomas Prior Hall interior and exterior are the perfect backdrop to produce dazzling wedding photos. We also offer second-day wedding celebrations in our stunning Grandstand Courtyard area, perfect for BBQs. The whole day and night were great, the hall was great and our room was great. We have had such great feedback from the guests too about how lovely the whole setup is in the hotel.

And a massive thank you to you and Ana for all the work behind the scenes and organization. We appreciate it. Every staff member was just brilliant. I'm not sure about the woman at reception name that walked us out with the umbrellas yourself but she was always so helpful too.

helpful, from greeting me at the car when I arrived to recommending when I (the bride) should enter the room to walk up the aisle. I was about to gallop up after the bridesmaid when they said I should let her get half way up so I could have “my moment”. Once the ceremony was finished we were greeted with a glass of prosecco each which was so nice and very much appreciated!
We didn’t even notice the changeover of the room from the ceremony to the reception which just goes to show how professional everyone was and then for the evening portion of the wedding, the food came out so seamlessly it was like it was delivered by ninjas!
When everything was finished & we came back to the hotel to pick up our bits, everything had been packed away for us for collection.
I couldn’t recommend the hotel enough and while it’s a stunning venue it’s the staff that really made it special for us.

We had an absolutely ball but more importantly so did our guests. The food tasting gave us a real insight into the standard. Thomas Prior Hall and the way different areas are run worked perfectly for us. The acoustics were also excellent. We had our ceremony and reception in the hall with our drinks reception in the grandstand courtyard. There are lovely spots to take photos in the garden too. Our guests were also very happy with the hotel rooms in the Clayton Hotel (linked to the hall). The bridal suite was perfect. Our needs were accommodated in every way-be it early check in, Hall access for decoration, cake cutting, wheelchair access, mics... We had a great party and loved every minute.
