Your wedding day is always going to be the most memorable day of your life and one of the most crucial factors to consider is the venue. For us the choice was an easy one. As we live in the UK and would have many guests flying in for the weekend, we were keen to have a venue close to both Dublin and

Dublin Airport and so venues around Wiclow and Kildare were going to be ideal for this. We visited many of the top hotels and country clubs in both counties but as soon as we walked in the door of Rathsallagh we knew we found our venue! Catherine, Gillian and all the staff were so accomodating and willing to help us make our day entirely unique for us. From the moment we arrived we were given a warm welcome from Catherine complete with bacon sandwiches and a pot of tea! The overall setting of the hotel and the grounds are stunning and so well maintained. The main hotel itself offers very comfortable accommodation with each room individually decorated which we loved. As we had to cater for 200 plus guests we were keen to have a venue that could hold this large number and the pavillion room was the ideal venue for us - the room has been recently built and feels fresh throughout, the bar is in the room itself so there's no separation with the guests and then the decor was neutral and simple throughout so that you can easily put your own twist on things and decorate to suit your taste. The fact that you can also play a round of golf if you fancy it really is a plus and a lot of the guys were keen on this! One thing that did stand out on the weekend itself was the food at Rathsallagh which they take pride in...all our guests raved about this and it makes a difference when you know you are getting good quality food and drink from your venue. We literally couldnt fault Rathsallagh and their staff and thank them for helping to make our wedding so incredibly special to us. The Staff and setting make everyone so relaxed and want to let their hair down and just really enjoy themselves. Obviously we being Foodie’s, we thought the food was top drawer .

Without hesitation we'd give Rathsallagh five stars. Gillian and all the staff were truly wonderful and went the extra mile to make sure our day was what we'd hope for, from when we first went to look at it for a posssible venue right up to the day itself.Typically for Ireland our July wedding day

proved to be far from sunny...it was great weather for ducks! But this was where the house really shone through. All our guests commented on how the house came into it's own when the weather was letting us down outside.Rathsallagh came through for us,bringing all the guests together! We'll be lifelong loyal customers and we'll be returning as often as possible to it's charm and brilliant staff!

We had our wedding reception at Rathsallagh House in August this year and I cannot speak highly enough about the staff and the venue. I would give it 10 stars if that was an option on here! Firstly, we were planning our wedding from afar so most of our communication with the Wedding Co-ordinators

was via email. They would always reply to us so quickly and took so much time to help us with all our questions and gave us brilliant advice. We felt extremely valued right from the beginning and just the tone of their emails was so welcoming and friendly-it was like our wedding was the most important wedding they ever had! That is exactly how every wedding venue should treat you, but I don't think that is always the case with other venues. The wedding day itself couldn't have gone better. Rathsallagh know exactly what they are doing and the day is organised perfectly without it feeling like a military operation! We had a beautiful, sunny day so we were delighted to be able to be outside in the walled garden with our guests, who were suitably enamoured with the place! The house and surrounding grounds are so beautiful, and you have it all to yourself for the day. The food was magnificent, service fantastic and our guests felt completely looked after and happy. The bedrooms are beautiful, so big and spacious with beautiful bathrooms. And the breakfast is simply the best breakfast I have had at any hotel, first class! If you are hesitating about booking your wedding here...don't! You will not regret it.

We had our wedding reception at Rathsallagh House in May 2012. It was the most beautiful venue and we had it all to ourselves. All of our guests loved it, the bedrooms were huge, the grounds were great for photos and I loved the wedding pavillion, The bbq at the golf club was the perfect opportunity

We were married here on 17th August and Rathsallagh made sure that we had an absolutely perfect day. The setting is beautiful, the rooms are are individual and quirky and the staff are really helpful. Fabulous setting aside, the service was exceptional and really sets the venue aside from other

wedding venues. Many guests took me aside to tell me that the food was the best they have had at a wedding. There was a selection of home baked breads on each table, meat was cooked to order ( the beef was just delicious, as was the thick-cut salmon starter) and the petit fours served with the tea & coffee were a big hit. The pavilion is purpose-built for 220 guests and the lighting in it is beautiful. Beacuse we had 125 guests, we didn't have to move any tables for the dancing, a big plus in my books. Thank you Rathsallagh, if our marriage is as great as our wedding, we are in for a whale of a time!!
